I developed severe, suicidal depression many years ago. It had a physical cause. My body wasn't stabilizing my mood. And mood regulation is a biochemical process. I eventually traced it to five foods I was eating that gave me severe depression. One of them also gave me inexplicable back pains, unlocalized, and another also gave me asthma attacks. As long as I avoided them I was fine. But I wasn't cured. One day I had profound fatigue. If I walked a few steps I was out of breath. The doc thought I had COPD. But these symptoms came on suddenly, and what usually comes on suddenly is an infection. I didn't feel my sinuses hurting, but they were tender. I told the doc I had a sinus infection. He believed me and gave me three courses of powerful antibiotics. Antibiotics screw up your gut bacteria. But I had no choice. I took them for three weeks. The fatigue left the next day. The sinus infection took a bit longer. Somehow I knew I could eat whaever I wanted. Sure enough, I had no more depresion since.

Adam did sin. In fact, the Bible generally credits the sin in the Garden of Eden to Adam. Did you actually listen to any of the content in the video? Do have specific verses or parts of the Bible that you find to contain "such insane views of women?"

I think the biggest lie in the Christian churches is the teaching that there is no escape from the flesh nature while in the body. In truth, The flesh has no power over those who have truly been Born Again. The struggle is when people try to conquer their sin by their own power, because they have not received the Holy Spirit: Collosians 2:11 "and in Him (Jesus) you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ," Romans 8:9-11 "But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you." 1 John 3 "Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister." When Paul spoke about his struggles with sin, he was speaking about his past before he received the Holy Spirit, because he also said: 1 Corinthians 15:34 : "Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God-I say this to your shame." Paul also said, "Those who are in the flesh cannot please God." Romans 8;1-8 When Jesus said, "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak." He had not sent the Holy Spirit yet. Jesus told the Pharisees, "You will die in your sins." For anyone who dies in their flesh, they are guaranteed to end up in Hell. “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8:13. God's grace does not allow us to go on sinning. God's grace changes us. God's grace does not free us to sin. It frees us from sin. Decieved Christians have a false sense of security believing that they can sin until the day they die and still go to heaven, but they don't have faith in the power of the Holy Spirit to free them from sin. False teachers discourage any notion that freedom from sinning is possible. Perhaps there is more money in it for them to keep people imprisoned by their sins so they will keep relying on them. To deny the power of the Holy Spirit to deliver us from sin so that we can live a righteous life is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Because pigs are unclean. I believe they suspected Jesus would allow it. They didn't ask to go into a flock of sheep. Jesus would not have allowed that. They requested the pigs because they suspected it would be allowed. Also if the demons wanted to occupy something then why would they cause the pigs to destroy themselves? Likely because they knew it would make Jesus unwelcome in that community. They hoped to cause the people to turn against Jesus and prevent Him from sharing the Gospel and the truth of the Father so that they might come to salvation. But Jesus was already many steps ahead and why He told the healed demoniac to stay and witnesses to the people there. And it worked! Jesus was able to come to them at a later time when the ground had been prepared by the man who was saved.

It's not Jesus of Nazareth who is the white horse rider as he is our God who sits on the throne. Revelation 3:20. It is the son of THE CHRIST who is the lamb looking as if slain. Revelation 3:21. He followed THE CHRIST to The cross and back and has been victorious over sin and death. He is not in Heaven or on the Earth or under the earth because he is in between God and Man! The true prodigal son of God. The son of The christ was martyred as his father was. DO you think he is here in peace? NO! He is the Lord and he is angry with the church for not knowing God.

10:09 Theocracy, especially when used as a bugbear, is a term that always bothers me. We have never had a true Theocracy in this world. There have been many religious oligarchies, but we have never had a nation on this planet that was truly governed by God. Even during the Judges period of ancient Israel, "Every man did what was right in his own eyes." No one would have anything to fear in a true Theocracy, in which God ruled a nation (or the planet). God is the only just, righteous and fair ruler that can possibly be imagined. I wish that people would instead say "Religious Oligarchy" when they claim to fear a group of people who would hypothetically force others to live by the oligarchy's religious views. 15:00 and following: We can define "person" in many different ways, and defining a "person" out of existence has been a rhetorical strategy as long as humans have had clans, tribes, and villages. I'm sure that examples spring to mind. I instead look for more objective terms. If an unborn baby is a living human being, regardless of our easily-misdefined "personhood," then he or she deserves to live and to be born. Are the unborn human? Well, they are organic, and of the animal kingdom (not, say, mineral or vegetable), and if they are not human, to what family should we assign them? They are not leonine, ursine, peonine, canine, feline, lupine, nor vulpine. Where else do they belong, being of human origin, and being composed within a human, and being destined to become a human? The unborn are clearly human. So do they live? They have distinct DNA, react to pain, experience emotions, and avoid danger. We can only avoid calling them living human beings if we again play with definitions, and make some arbitrary choice about when life begins. Perhaps we may legislate that life begins when a child is 12 years old and can do algebra... But the logical place and scientifically valid moment to select is at conception. The unborn are clearly living human beings. To deny it is to deny logic.

One should note that the textual variants are not evenly distributed. Most textual variants occur in clusters. Also, most variants are obviously correctable errors, such as misspellings. A large number are trivial. Of those that are non-trivial, most do not affect any sort of doctrinal issue. "The Greek New Testament we have today is essentially ... what the writers wrote." -- Good Ehrman quote.

When I would put together "Scripture Memory Pizza" verse lists for my Sunday School classes, I never used 1 Chronicles 6, I must admit. Maybe this was an oversight. But my goal was verses concentrating on salvation and the atoning work of Jesus Christ -- Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Isaiah 53:4-6, and so on. So I'm going to concur with you: All verses are there for a purpose. But not every verse is equally edifying.

Scripture says what it says regardless of what most Christians want it to say or mean. Scripture tells in plain English that the nephilim came from a union of fallen angels (sons of God) and human women (daughters of men), and it states that this happened both before and after the flood.

Your attempt to try to explain that away is dishonest and pathetic. How can anyone support such a book? But I guess if you're trying to defend the bible you would have no choice. For example, "And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever." Lev 25:46. How can anyone support such a book?

An important key point: Dr. Keener's first point in the Miracles book is that miracles are not something we never hear of. It's not a rare thing for someone to make a miracle claim. We cannot then suddenly dismiss miracles as inductively impossible. The Humean position of anti-supernaturalism is not logically acceptable.

In what might be called a curious coincidence, David Hume's argument is technically a fallacy of the class known as a No True Scotsman. The classic form of the No True Scotsman goes like this: Proposition: No True Scotsman dislikes haggis. . . . . . . (No Subject are Predicate; strong Nego, or SEP argument). Counter-example: Here is Duncan, who dislikes Haggis. . .(Some subject are predicate, Weak Affirmo, or SIP argument) (SIP is contradictory to SEP) Reaction: Duncan is not a True Scotsman, because Duncan dislikes Haggis, and No True Scotsman dislikes haggis. The No True Scotsman shifts the definition of a true Scotsman to always exclude any counter-example. It is also circular in that the general premise is the conclusion. Hume's No True Scotsman goes like this: No True Miracles exist . . . . . . . . . . Strong Nego, SEP Here is a miracle event. . . . . . . . . . . Weak affirmo, SIP (contradictory to SEP) That is Not a True Miracle, because No True Miracles exist. Again, circular in nature, and a No True Scotsman, and written by a Scotsman.

I would also refer the curious to the case documented on p.621 ff., of Ed Wilkinson and his son Brad, who in 1984 at age 8, was diagnosed with a pair of holes in his heart. One night in June 1985, on the eve of surgery, Brad's heart defect was healed overnight. Films taken one day show the defect; in films taken on the next day it did not exist. Dr. Keener has been shown documentation of the condition and its spontaneous closure.

One example, found on p.636 ff, is the case of a Joy Wahnefried, who, as a college student, suffered severe and debilitating migraines due to a medical eye condition, vertical heterophoria, in which one eye displaces images higher than the other eye. In 2009, after being prayed over in three successive prayer meetings, she was completely healed, and her vision was restored to 20/20. Dr. Keener states that he has met with Joy, and that she has shown him medical documentation of her prior condition, and that said condition no longer exists. She had the latter document, a letter from her eye doctor, because she had needed to explain to the state why she no longer needs corrective lenses for driving.

The thing that most affects me about the travelers to Emmaus ... The very best sermon in the entire Bible is merely mentioned, and we are given only the most vague of outlines! Oh, to have heard that sermon. Imagine speaking to the author of the Bible, and having Him reveal from Adam to the maps every secret that is in it. Imagine Him showing how the passover was about the crucifixion, and the sacrifice in Genesis 22 was about the crucifixion, and how Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek tied in with it all. Imagine the many layered meanings that would flow out of every verse, as you learned what the Kinsman Redeemer meant, and why David called the Messiah his Lord. Could you catch it all; could you hold it? The revelation of God from the Word of God from the mouth of God - it is unimaginable. But Jesus poured out this instruction on two men, and opened their eyes. Why is it important that it was two? Because thus we know it was not a hallucination. Also two witnesses may testify to the truth.

The Mystery of Babylon the Great is a prophecy for the Earthly Jerusalem. They have made all the inhabitants of the earth drunk by their religious doctrines. Jerusalem became rich because of the trade of pilgrims from all over the world. Jerusalem is called the mother of harlots because she was the first harlot (Ezekiel 16). The term *The great city* in the book of revelation always refers to the earthly city of Jerusalem. Revelation 17 _18 And the woman which thou sawest _*_is that great city,_*_ which reigneth over the kings of the earth._ Revelation 16 _19 And _*_the great city was divided into three parts,_*_ and the cities of the nations fell: _*_and great Babylon came in remembrance before God,_*_ to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath._ Now the city of Jerusalem has been divided into the holy city of three religions. Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Just as Babylon was once a holy city of many religions so is Jerusalem today, that is why God remembered Jerusalem as Babylon when the city was divided into three parts. The scarlet beast that carrieth the women was the State of Israel. This beast came out of the abyss. (Revelation 11:7 & 17:8) Scarlet color means full of sin. (Isaiah 1:18) The State of Israel is the only country in the world that once existed and then disappeared and came back as a state. (Revelation 17:8,11) Revelation 17 _9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman _*_(Jerusalem)_*_ sitteth._ _10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen _*_(The Kingdom of Israel, Assyrian, Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Greece)_* _and one is _*_(Roman Empire)_* _, and the other is not yet come _*_(Arab Kingdoms);_*_ and when he cometh, he must continue a short space._ _11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven _*_(The State of Israel),_*_ and goeth into perdition._ _12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; _*_(the Rashidun Caliphs, Umayyads, Abbasids, Fatimids, Seljuks, Crusaders, Ayyubids, the Mamluk sultans of Egypt, the Ottoman Empire, the British.)_*_ but receive power as kings one hour with the beast._ Because there will be a new Jerusalem coming down from heaven, Jerusalem which is on earth full of false worship must be destroyed. After Jerusalem on earth is completely destroyed, that is a sign of Christ's coming to pick up his chosen 144,000 people to rule with him in the new Jerusalem in heaven by resurrecting them in the first resurrection. (Revelation 20:4-6) The temple of God has been trampled by the Muslims and used to worship the unknown god, the Jews worship the walls and the Christians worship the graves. The sins of Jerusalem have piled up as high as the sky.(Rev 18:5) Jews say it is *Jerusalem.* The Romans said it was *Aelia capitolina.* Muslims say it is *Al-Quds.* But God said it was *Babylon the Great.*

If I were trying to identify the Ill-reputed female in question, I would tend to think of either a place or a movement that made its practice to oppose Christianity and Christian values. In the places in the Bible where judgement has notoriously fallen, the people have had an attitude of not caring what is right and what is wrong. I would look for a place or movement that takes great pride in its abominations. In light of the mention of kings of many nations, and many languages being spoken, and all the world coming and becoming embroiled in her sins, I would look for a polyglot place, where one might encounter many different languages and cultures at any turn of the corner. In light of the appellation "harlot," I would tend to look for a place of wealth, some perhaps ill-gotten; a financial center, perhaps, and a seat of some kind of power or illicit influence, but a notorious disregard for propriety. I can think of a place and a movement which are closely associated with each other, and which does meet the other criteria above, and the place in question does have at least seven nominal hills. I hope that I am wrong, for in that city are yet 10 righteous men, and 7,000 who have not bowed their knees to baal, nor kissed the ashteroth. Besides, there live in that city 100,000 who know not their right from their left. May God have mercy.

"War in heaven" -- How do immortal spiritual beings fight? I sometimes wonder about that. In another sense, I'm content not to know empirically.

the study of definitions - a ceremonial immersion in water as an initiatory RITE or sacrament of the christian church - a word to investigate is the word RITE. meaning a formal or ceremonial act or procedure prescribed or customary in religious or other solemn use. It is important to know that the word RITE has a strong connection to the word RITUAL. In fact the word RITUAL comes directly from the latin word RITUALIS - meaning relating to religious rites..Rites oare often to used to initiate someone into a group, organisation or society..RITES are popular among secretive societies, such as the jesuits and the freemasons.. The word that you may want to know its deeper meaning is the word "baptism" When you meticulously study the word baptism and study its definitions to see what other words are related to it you should eventualy come to the conclusion that EXTERNAL baptism is a magic ritual. When someone is baptised from the "outside" he is considered to have entered a "coven-ant" with the "lord"..As a noun the word covenant comes from the latin word "convenir" meaning come together, unite, be suitable, agree. Etymologically means ( to enter into an formal agreement or contract". The word "covenant" means also an agreement or contract between 2 or more persons to do or not to do something specified or a solemn agreement, between the members of the church to act together in harmony with precepts of the gospel. When the word COVENANT is split up into 2 words, it transforms into the word "coven" and the suffix "ant"....The word COVEN means ""an assembly of witches, especially a group of 13. So, the deeper meaning of the word "baptism" is ""An agreement (contract) with a "coven" controlled by witches or lords. Therefore when people are baptized, they have agreed to serve in the capacity of a coven or make an agreement with a coven, which is controlled by witches or lords. The question therefore people SHOULD be asking is "the one performing the baptism a member of a coven of the true LORD or is he a member of a coven of witches who worship false gods. The witches who have infiltrated many churches on this earth are the dark magicians. The magicians have masters that are known as demons.. Their demonic masters are the lords that people make contracts with when they agree to be baptized by the minions of the dark magicians. That is why it is very important to know who is really in charge of a church before agreeing to be baptized by a member of that church. The process of "external baptism" promises the body, mind and soul of a man/woman, or child to a coven of a church which can be controlled by a coven on the true LORD or a coven of witches who worship false gods. If you go to church, you may really want to think this before participating in baptism. TRUE BAPTISM OCCURS IN THE BODY, NOT OUTSIDE OF IT. Because of this, external baptism will NOT empower people to achieve ""spiritual freedom"". Churches that practice external baptism are misleading their members becuase external baptism cannot save their members from "original sin"..To rise above original sin requires a transformation "within" meaning that ....unless one is born of water and the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of god. What the churches do not teach is that the TRUE CHURCH of god is man's body, whether male or female - the bible even says ""you are the temple of god""......

Another good question is why the tribe of Ephraim is called "Joseph," since both Ephraim and Manasseh were sons of Joseph. It's also interesting that there are thirteen original tribes, and not just twelve, but 156,000 is a less-perfect number. Manasseh, when referred to as a "half-tribe" is usually because Manasseh was represented on both sides of the Jordan. Thus the people on east of the river were Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Mannaseh on that side; West of the river, Simeon, Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, Dan (original spot), Mannaseh (the other half), Issachar, Zebulon, Asher, and Napthali. Levi was represented in all tribes and had no land per se.
