I was today years old when I found out that Steven Cropper and Donald "Duck" Dunn (The Blues Brothers) were the guitar player and bassist for Booker T and the MGs.

My favorite of all these years. I was 16 at this time. Genius in every way. Steve's voice was totally worthy of all those strings blended in.

I've listened to & met Jon Woodhead, the guitarist in this live video (not the studio version) on numerous occasions, who plays with a local eclectic cover band here in Santa Barbara, called The Cliffhangers!...& he's absolutely AMAZING (far more than this video indicates) setting the high standard for the band! Ironically, they've never played How Long! kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXK5nZJ_f7tom6s

Who else sings so perfectly at a live concert like Justin? Amazing
@gerfmon15 күн бұрын
I never saw the Moodies live ☹But I remember reading once that they created their sound using "studio magic" that couldn't be recreated live. I dunno, been watching a lot of Moody Blues live videos and they sound very close to the studio versions. I think someone was full of BS. lol

This song was widely considered the 1st pseudo punk rock song about 15 years before the punk movement. Even the Stones did a cover of this song. Smash Mouth did a cover of their other song “Can’t get enough of you baby”
