Kentucky radio has a version with ride the pony lyrics. In Oswego NY a college bar called Bucknells (bucksmells from the stale beer and frat people getting sick) people shouted out "get laid get f*cked!" during a break in the lyrics, during the 80s.

Carol Bush - It was *too* long because... he spent half the song greeting people in the audience and introducing the band. Not unusual during live shows.
