Im in Florida and purchasing the ram high roof 2500. I am trying to fig out a cost efficient ac ...same issue. The utubes i watched all say do the mini split with panels but that is super expensive..there appears to be no cheap answers

@DoWhateverfilms 3 күн бұрын
The most expensive part is always going to be the battery bank you need. You can get a 9000 minisplit for 500 bucks now!

I couldn’t do long trips on my old Dyna wide glide. My ass would kill me after awhile. Heritage softail I can ride for days. I didn’t realize how much more plush riding they are. Wide glide was an awesome bike though. It just wasn’t very good for long distances

how long did you do that? or you examined in x period of time? Or the goal is to loosen up the stuff and get it out with mechanical removal?

Im looking at putting a mini split on our boat, but the outdoor unit would need to be on the upper deck while the indoor unit would be in the cabin below...is that ok to do?

Stupid question but i thought the indoor unit was supposed to be higher than the outdoor unit no?

I have a 1400, used it to death, at least 12hr a day for 3yrs since they first came out,start with regular oil, moved into full synthetic, will last a long time, I have your same problem some times, run it with the side cover off for a time, the cover you check the oil, good luck.

I have a 17' Die-na low rider S and do 120+ regularly, 2up aswell.No wobble. But I do change my motor mounts out every 2-3 seasons or so. Would love to try a new Low rider S tho!

That Black Dyna is way better looking than the softy imho. I love Dyna's, I'm keeping my '15 Low Rider. I've owned many Dyna's and never had this wobble you speak of???? But to each his own. By all means if the softail makes your heart beat then get it!

Maybe I'm just weird, but all the "perks" mentioned do nothing for me in that I truly enjoy my "old" 2020 Road Glide that I installed a cammed 131" crate motor in. Granted, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the aforementioned, but all that get up and go from the get-go has been plenty of entertainment for the last 4 years and 26,000 miles

Id go with the softail do suspension mods and a cam and be done with it performance wise. 120hp it'll be fast for a harley.

A big part of the problem comes from the fact that you have to lean the bike hard to the right in order to fully extend the kickstand. Before I knew this, I set it down without the kickstand being fully extended. Bad time.
@billdaggett7911
@billdaggett7911 3 ай бұрын
If you have ARH, you can hold the front brake and rock the bike front to back a few times and it'll pump up the height so the kickstand will clear without leaning right. The bike drops down by default and uneven ground makes it hard to get the stand deployed.

I ran a 5000 BTU air conditioner off of that exact one for a year and a half. No problems. Until one day it decided to blow up. Believe it or not it sounds like air is pumping out of the exhaust. Anyway, I only started to comment because you mentioned generac. I bought a Craftsman generac 2,500 watt right out the door. Right out of the box. Put the gas in it and ran like crap. All kinds of problems got another one. Works great for like a month now. It's doing the same. Damn thing. Stay away from generac

I agree, I think people just love to complain and blame things for going wrong, when it was their mistake in the first place.

That is an old school method for center standing a bike. Was common when I first began riding in the early 70s.

I own a 2022 PAS. I have read some of the complaints about the side stand. I must say I dont see a problem if you just adapt a little. The big complaint is retracting the sidestand from standing next to the bike. With the ARH in the lower position the bike has to be leaned ever so slightly to the right. Simple solution is to get on the bike first,then retract the sidestand. Simple , easy and safer from the saddle than from alongside the bike

@DoWhateverfilms
@DoWhateverfilms 6 ай бұрын
I mean they work, and harley does sell a metal one if you don't trust plastic, but we've got one here with 93k miles on it, plastic.
@enrico1856
@enrico1856 6 ай бұрын
Yeah they work until they warp or melt. I know I can buy a metal one and replace it , just seems stupid to me that I have to replace a crucial part on a close to 180000€ bike cause the moco cheaped out on it, along with the plastic lifter cuffs. 😢

Sucks because leather pros are no contest when it comes to space, but painted fxr hard bags look nice, especially on an fxr inspired build (my m8 softail is fxr inspired)

I picked up a 2004 FXDX fuel injected last summer. I replaced the tires and motor mounts but it needs: front and rear brakes, cam chain tensioners, new clutch cable, front and rear suspension, exhaust, and of course dynoed. Parts alone I'm well over $5,000. It's rideable now, but severely unsafe due to the brake situation. I'm highly considering getting out from underneath it and hitting the flooded used bike market for a low mile M8 streetbob. Decisions decisions.
