I own a 2022 PAS. I have read some of the complaints about the side stand. I must say I dont see a problem if you just adapt a little. The big complaint is retracting the sidestand from standing next to the bike. With the ARH in the lower position the bike has to be leaned ever so slightly to the right. Simple solution is to get on the bike first, then retract the sidestand. Simple , easy and safer from the saddle than from alongside the bike

Great demo by the way.

I agree, I think people just love to complain and blame things for going wrong, when it was their mistake in the first place.

That is an old school method for center standing a bike. Was common when I first began riding in the early 70s.

I've had my bike fall over due to the jiffy stand, but it was because of the adaptive ride height. I had my Pan Am positioned near my car to use the air compressor. I didn't notice that I positioned the bike in a tire rut. Upon moving the bike around, the ARH went back to full height. I put the jiffy stand down and proceeded to fill up my tires. I turned the bike on to read the PSI. The ARH lowered, causing the bike to tip.

A big part of the problem comes from the fact that you have to lean the bike hard to the right in order to fully extend the kickstand. Before I knew this, I set it down without the kickstand being fully extended. Bad time.

If you have ARH, you can hold the front brake and rock the bike front to back a few times and it'll pump up the height so the kickstand will clear without leaning right. The bike drops down by default and uneven ground makes it hard to get the stand deployed.
