I always thought the Mirror Universe wasn't flipped as a whole, but because humanity was a more warlike species and due their influence; other star powers had to adapt to better withstand the human threat and became more aggressive themselves. The Mirror Borg would likely be the same as the Prime Borg, only humans would be treated like the Kazon, primitive in their warlike nature they wouldn't be worthy of assimilation, but due to their warlike nature the Borg would treat any encounters with them as shoot on site due to humans trying to steal borg tech for themselves. Thus the Borg would be perceived as more hostile in the mirror universe as a result of human interference.

The treaty didn't seem to make much of peace when a good chunk of TNG had the Romulans trying to force the federation into war. They just wanted it to be the federation who caused it publicly when it was infact the Romulans who were fanning the flames. Having the Enterprise cross the Neutral Zone and into Romulan space, trying to force them to surrender or start a fight. Only saved by planning ahead so the tables were turned in the Enterprise's favor.

Another good reason as to why we don't assume the STD series as "canon", for example; if gellatinous, then why bipedal, 2 arms, a head, why take the shape that is the easiest for showrunners to copy?, oh right, they're lazy.

I find it hard to believe a random crew on the other side of the Galaxy could invent all this when the whole federation couldn't

Wild speculation just for fun: The lettering isn't nonsense, it's a cypher, if you're not in the know, you can't figure out what it sais, because you're not supposed to. Knowing Romulan isn't enough to read it, you have to Be, Romulan, to read it.

WOuld a fully-automated starship be as protective against damage & destruction as a starship being inhabited by sentient beings, by a regular crew?

the entire tech is just scary. in principle you should be able to copy anything you can beam. just provide the raw material and let the transporter impose the saved pattern onto it. boom, third riker, second picard etc.

As a fully AI-controlled ship, I'm curious how it does systems repair if it gets into a battle or if anything goes wrong with a system when far away from a starbase facility? it does have certain advantages & definite disadvantages, it seems as such.

In the TOS episode "The Deadly Years" the Enterprise had to go through Romulan space to get to a Star Base.

5:18 it's hinted quite strongly that the Enterprise E was one of the ships caught in the Protostar's Construct viral broadcast, so was likely damaged to the point it was scrapped. As for the Queen, i've always wondered how it could be the queen from Unimatrix 1, as she was poisoned, fell apart, died, then exploded, along with her nexus and central unicomplex, and yet, it apparently _IS_ her.

Figuring warp speed (aside from whatever the plot needs it to be) is absurdly simple. It's the warp number cubed. Ie: wf 1 = 1x1x1=1 wf 2 = 2x2x2=8 wf 3 = 3x3x3=27 And so on. This was explained to me by a panel of experts at a Star Trek convention back in the '70s, and also appears in the Star Fleet Technical Manual by Franz Joseph. 😊

Heh, the first 95 seconds of this video basically describes how dragons in the animated film "Flight of Dragons" fly and breathe fire. I'm guessing someone who was responsible for adding them to the lore was a fan.

my headcanon is that hes just some disgruntled former Starfleet officer named Quenton who ended up getting his hands on 5th dimensional technology and he just really likes fucking with Starfleet but in particular he loves fucking with Picard because he beat him in getting into the academy. Quenton was suck a forgettable dork that Picard just doesn't recognize him at all.

Even painted in Romulan Light-grey, it's a 'War-Bird' that is as Elegant as it is Lethal! The narrow boom was a Lifeboat for the Command Crew, should the Slaves Revolt, or Battle Damage be too much for the ship's aft section/warp/weapons to deal with. I think the 'Hammer upon a Sling' weapon styling was also inline with Klingon ideals. This ship puts it's Heavy Weapons, the Disruptors, at the fore of the Warp Engines, and Phasers are along the upper Dorsal areas aside the big Impulse Engines, under the very Pointed Front of the wing-arches, and also Under the node of the the Bridge cupola section. This provides few weak areas around the 'globe' of the ship's shields that the Phasers can't help protect, while the Main Disruptors wreak havoc upon their Foes up-front. It's a good design that steps deeply into the Klingon mindset, and yet, has few weaknesses for others to exploit. I've played SFB for decades, and I know, in Stephen's World, these are Ships you RESPECT, and hope are Not Your FOE today!

Worf is the most honorable Klingon, but Martok is likely the greatest Klingon. He's as good as it gets for a Klingon born and raised in the Empire in that time period. You can tell how great he is via his interactions with Nog. It's not just the big things, but the small things.
