I'm guessing you could run Darker Nights to balance the fact that Cabbage looks too bright at night?

Me on basically every scene: Really good! Too dark. Too dark. Too bright. Aaaaand perfect. I've been modding Skyrim on PC for like 4 years now and always end up coming back to Rudy ENB with Obsidian Weathers. Might switch it up this time though and go with Cabbage just to try something new.

Nice! I actually find the visual comparison more important -- the FPS are close enough that it won't matter on my system, but comparing how the different mods look in the same locations is invaluable. Rudy is the most consistent but it can feel a little bland and lacks the flair that the other presets have. Cabbage is great and I really have no complaints about it other than the too bright nights and interiors. The original NAT is a personal favourite but skins look kinda shit with it. PRT is literally the same as NAT but with extra stuff. I think it's a little darker at night tho. PI-CHO is always a solid pick but I feel like the others overshadow it.

Pi-CHO looks good but too dark. Rudy is my favorite, but unfortunately doesn't exist for Azurite II (the weather mod I want to use). Cabbage interiors are nice, probably even better than Rudy's, but the exteriors are too faded. Rudy exteriors with Cabbage interiors would be lovely (but essentially impossible)

While I'll say Berserkyr isn't my favorite, I do love how it resembles the same feeling you'd get playing the Fable games. How the night is a hue of blue and the lights glow a nice yellow-orange. I would say depening on the style of gameplay you want in a modlist, I'd say I'd it'd be worth it to install if you're going for high fantasy kind of gameplay.

After some time analyzing, I came to a conclusion: NAT is perfect for a more cinematic experience; it has balanced and more realistic colors, but there's a filter that resembles a film. Berserkyr, on the other hand, is completely fantastical, leaning heavily towards saturation. Despite everything, it's well-balanced in terms of brightness. Rudy, on the other hand, is somewhat the most realistic of them all, balancing everything - colors, saturation, and brightness, with interiors generally being less bright than the others. As for Cabbage (which I used for a long time), I have to say it's like a mixture of Berserkyr and NAT. So, it's less fantastical than Berserkyr and more cinematic like NAT. Honestly, what pleased me the most was Rudy NAT.
@RiderZer09 ай бұрын
Cabbage is the Al around cleanest imo. But not perfect. NAT enb is best in dark areas. Rudy is best in snow areas. Cabbage just has an all around consistency just not as good specifically.

@AsIfItNeverWas10 ай бұрын
Berserkyr is definitely the weakest out of the bunch for me in almost every scenario. Cabbage is great but I always hated its interiors and nights as they always look way too bright. However, it looks absolutely gorgeous during bright, sunny weathers. Just looking at it, NAT would be my favourite because it looks much more cinematic and dramatic. However, as much as I love it, the little bugs it has are much easier to spot than Rudy. Rudy is definitely the most consistent of the bunch with really no weaknesses.

If I could blend PRT, Rudy and NAT ENB 3 I think I'd have my ideal setting. Unfortunately I have zero ability do to that. PRT is just a little too bright with fog, creating a bloom effect that is difficult to see through, and Rudy is a little dense with the rain and doesn't seem to handle the reflected light as well as PRT in dark interiors and small details. I'm currently unsure how best to set up an ENB preset with NAT ENB 3. Especially to remove the glow from surfaces in the rain. Watching this though has inspired me to try. Appreciate the effort put into this comparison. For the future do you think you could put a shot up showing all the images in a slice effect to see the comparison more clearly?

@dunnono0011 ай бұрын
I'd say a combination of Cabbage + NAT ENB would be as close to ideal you're going to get. Cabbage does pretty well with "good" weathers and conditions while NAT handles inclement weathers and conditions better. Except for the snow storm, maybe, where Rudy I think reached a better compromise between fog and visibility.
@xiqy195911 ай бұрын
Kinda washed out imo, definitely a viking vibe
@chetm44749 ай бұрын
It is a personal opinion but I think Rudy depicts the snow and snowstorm in the worst possible way due to too much of blue tint. Even Cabbage doesn't get it right. Pi-CHO is spot on when it comes to snowy stuff. And yes Cabbage literally wipes the floor with any ENB out there when it comes clear days and sunsets (good daytime weather). Pi-CHO has the best nights followed by Rudy and NAT (in these ENBs nights incline more towards black rather than blue; Skyrim, by default, has blue nights which, in my opinion, is really a poor aesthetic choice made by Skyrim devs). Overall, its a tough contest between Cabbage and PI-CHO, and Cabbage might come out on top by a small margin. PRT looks too washed out and nowhere in the competition. And yes, almost forgot... SSS in these ENBs is hard to judge cause OP has used poor quality textures (diffuse and normals). In my experience, to get the best result you often have to mix up multiple skin and body texture mods (e.g. diffuse and normal maps from one mod, specular from another), especially for male skin (for female skin, BnP is more than enough).
