Check if they have the exact same mods you added and make sure it’s all the same version, another thing you can check is see if your server allows cracked players to join, cus if your friends cracked they won’t be able to join

If you haven't found a fix yet, try to backup the HOSTS file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and place the back up file in an save folder. Then try to delete the HOSTS file and see if that works, for me it worked

Go to curseforge or where ever you can get your mods download it and put it into your Minecraft mods folder and it should work. And don’t forget they have to be the exact same version
