My verification has been done since 2022, I once applied for family reunion visa and I got denied because I married my wife in Nigeria although it was marriage by absentia that's why my visa got rejected, so we decided to get married in Germany,Now that I got the approval I need to book appointment and I also need the list of documents please, is it same documents for family reunion, and do I need letter of commitment from her?

Thank you bro!! Congratulations on your marriage being approved by the Standesamt, which means your background check and document verification were successful. I booked an appointment for a family reunion visa with the German embassy way before I applied for marriage at the Standesamt(because of the long wait period).

How much was the ticket, where did you stay and how long did you stay

At the time, it was around 600€ (round-trip), and we stayed in Lagos at an AirBnB, and it was for 2 weeks. Of course now ticket prices and everything will be different and depending on the season you decide to travel.

One major wish we always had was to celebrate our birthdays together and today we were blessed to be able to celebrate your birthday baby. Keeping it simple by going out together and having a night out with the family here in Germany was more than enough.❤

@meshndebbs yes Because my document are currently at the court for approval, and I'm still in 🇳🇬 , hoping after the approval I will apply for the visa, according to my wife to be she said Standesamt will send me a document which I will use to apply for the visa

Yes, your wife to be may be talking about the "Eheschließung" which is the marriage certificate that has to be applied for at the Standesamt. We are not sure how the process have been for you all, but in our case since both of us couldn't be there for the marriage registration, I had to apply with a power of attorney signed by my husband who was still in Nigeria at the time. After I received that document, I personally sent it to him, and that is what he used to apply for his visa during his interview at the Embassy.

I just found you guys! Beautiful couple. I am from Germany living in California meeting my LDR Onitemi this year after 2 years in Nigeria Lagos. Going to Osun for a wedding of our friends, to Ilesha, Ibadan and to Ado Ekiti where he lives, studies and has his business. I am so nervous and excited. A lot of Nigerians have trouble to visit other countries. How did this work out for you guys? Gluehwein, lecker. Ich wuerde auch genre mit meinem Huebschen zum Weihnachtsmarkt.
