I'm still a little confused. Can I post live classes on Payhip? For example, weekly 1:1 music lessons.
@melissaisteaching17 сағат бұрын
Hey April! Yep. I would set it up as subscription. If you're okay with families paying each week for their class (like OS) then that'd work well! I do that for my async class: payhip.com/b/pQjL6 For my live online classes, I tend to sell classes in packages of 10 or 20, so I would create a digital product that gets them a direct link to my Calendly so that they can schedule their class time for those classes. That way you're assured more longevity with your student. Obviously, rock solid policies on cancellations, refunds, and what's included would be imperative. Which do you think you'd go with?

Nice tutorial thanks. How come you don't do as individual class item like.... Item: Melissa Class, Qty: 10, Price: 30 Total: 300?
@melissaisteaching23 күн бұрын
Thanks so much! That would absolutely be the best thing to do! Some of my students have different price packages (ex. with or without the 2.9% Stripe fee, or $25 instead of 30 because they opt to pay for 30 classes at a time instead of 10, etc). If it weren't for the variation, then I'd do that! Are you an online teacher?

Thanks for this, Melissa! I’m taking a break from my English resources shop for now to focus on the crochet teaching, but this will be helpful for later when I return to it. I’m using HubSpot to host as many aspects of my crochet business as possible, and really like it. I tried Payhip for that, and it’s not a good fit for me.

Do you have a recommended book list for 6th grade.
@melissaisteachingАй бұрын
Depending on interest and your parameters, we could go different ways here, BUT here's what we use: Newbery books! Winners/honors... any book on here is worth checking out. I prefer to get the physical book into my kids' hands and then grab the audio book (we use the Libby app which syncs up with our public library card) so they can listen and read at the same time if they want. Here's a list of Newbery books: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newbery_Medal

@CoffeeandkiddosАй бұрын
@@melissaisteaching I'm working on it. My issue is planning too much and not being realistic. I need to figure out a better way to get literature in. Read aloud are very difficult for me to fit in as well.
@melissaisteachingАй бұрын
@@Coffeeandkiddos Totally feel you. At this age, read-alouds are nice, but I've opted to have my 3rd grade kids and up use audio books (we get ours on the Libby app, which is free and connects to our public library card) while they have the physical book in their hands. Gives them an added layer of complexity hearing someone else pronounce the words as well!
