What an interesting talk. It is remarkable that Cait's book is non-fiction. It has been decades since i was involved with and embraced a small part of the ideas that quenched the Spirit in Cait's family. My spouse is involved with BGE, and we happily support and encourage full engagement of all Christians in finding calling and doing ministries. I use to be too nice and not direct enough on this topic. Unfortunately, the ones who need Cait's book the most will only read it to push back and refute. Billy Graham hosted crusades in Korea. I heard about South Korea, not much about North Korea or the time before their civil war. One thing I heard was Pyongyang was known as New Jerusalem because there were so many Christians. So what happened? Statistics show South Korea has a very low birth rate. Births outside marriage is extremely low. So from the outside it looks like the approach to have self control regarding sex outside marriage is fairly successful. This could be a legacy of American churches influencing them. How can they assist churches in the US and the churches here continue to influence them? the big problem here, is that Christianity was never meant to be he one and only truth. True sacred spiritual truth about God and his messages was to be for everyone. But the modern packaging of western civilization says that ONLY Christ and his death and resurrections and belief there of brings salvation. Then, you have to trust in the entire bible. Parts of this are okay, but parts of this are not okay. American "John Wayne" christianity was never going to work. With the invention of the internet, all the mistakes and problems with the bible and the ways phony christians lived their lives, became mainstream knowledge for millions of people to see, via the internet and KZbin.

I think christianity and evangelicalism is DEAD. But, something needs re inventing. No the god and his message are somewhat still valid and true and 50% of the bible is truth and needed for this day and age.
