Hey, I'm struggling to get this to work and wonder if you or anybody else have any suggestions? I followed the tutorial to a tee and couldn't manage to get it to work. Initially I had a problem with opening the launcher on the 2nd windows account as it just prompted me to update and restart. I resolved this by amending the properties of JagexLauncher.exe to always run as admin. I then had the issue that when I run the batch file, it's not doing anything. I found another command online that was slightly different, instead beginning with: runas /savecred /user:"user2" This seemed to work the first time I tried running it, but the launcher window was blank the first time, and now it just doesn't do anything aside from flash the cmd window briefly. I read Gmaxx39's comment and tried using their method instead. This prompts me to enter the username and password of the secondary windows user and I do that, then it prompts for admin password (because I have it set to run as admin on the secondary user) and then Jagex Launcher opens, but it seems to share the same details as my main Jagex Launcher instance, even though it's definitely closed between launching it both times. Ie if I sign into the 2nd windows user, log into my 2nd jagex account, close it and then go back to my main windows user, if I open the Jagex Launcher it's already logged into my 2nd jagex account. Having to play on 2 different GIM accounts currently because one of us decided he doesn't feel like playing yet, and it's getting annoying having to manually log in/out and auth each time I launch RS, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

back in my day cancelling the lethal like that was how we would swap weapons quickly, it would cut animations out to make the gun swap faster. the ol' insta swap. the trickshottters loved insta swapping semtex for the noise, or using a tomahawk to get a silent shot effect. the insta swap with the shock charge was the cleanest looking.

Im kinda confused. You're using the button to throw a molotov, but then use the button to use the blast immediately after?

hes on pc so his controls are different, you do the Alt Fire with the jet gun which is your ADS button (LT/L2 by default) then when you hear the sound cue you press Lethal (RB/R1) then you quickly swap back to the jet gun by pressing Switch Weapon (Y/triangle). LT -> RB -> Y / L2 -> R1 -> TRIANGLE. the 2nd button press has to be timed with the noise.

What happens when you click install again through the jagex launcher? I had this issue but can’t remember what I did to fix it, to be honest I don’t think I did anything at all, it fixed itself..

Thanks for the guide, I’ve been following it well up until running the new batch file - command prompt pops up and I press enter, but nothing happens after that - no new jagex launchers pop up. I’ve updated secpol, so I’m not too sure what’s going on. Any ideas?

Are you making sure the previous Jagex launcher is completely closed out? Make sure to look in the in bottom right for the jagex launcher icon or in task manager and see if it's still running.

I’ve found a way to get this to work after some more searching this afternoon. I have enabled a Windows Setting through Windows ‘Group Policy Editor’ called “Show ‘Run as Different User’ command on Start”. This was disabled by default. After a restart, I’m able to shift + right click Jagex Launcher.exe and “Run as second user”. The Batch file now loads properly too. I did not have the Microsoft local policy or group policy editors installed on Windows 10 Home by default, but was able to add them in through Microsoft support pages. I’m not sure if having a password on the 2nd user is an important step, but I believe it might be necessary as Windows won’t allow me to run any programmes as 2nd user if the 2nd user doesn’t have a password required for login. I hope this helps, will comment on a separate chain!

I found other solution, en local data I saw two folders "Hogwarts" and "Hogwarts Legacy", I replaced the new folder with the old data, and voilá, success

Did you ensure that the file path is correct to the Jagex Launcher and ends with the .exe

I ran into the same problem. The batch file text is fine - runas/user:test2 “program files etc\ jagexlauncher.exe” but nothing happens after the fact. Might be a windows 10 issue?

@@Gmaxx39 Same problem here.. Also on Windows 10. Update: I upgraded to W11, still didnt work. But I found a easier method. If you shift right click the launcher then you can select 'Run as different account' and then it works, no bat file needed. Note that the second computer account needs to have a password, otherwise it doesnt work

Thank you so much! It didn't work the first time, sometimes it stayed open and other times you had to open it yourself but it closed automatically. I wanted to try to do the assembly one last time and everything works and on both sides too! I am delighted after the many tries I was able to do.
