@@leciovmb you can do a push pull configuration on top. The case has an option to install the motherboard to a lower location, but the top part of the motherboard and a part of the upper fan in the back will be partially blocked from view.

@@prime1964 It makes sense. I hadn't thought about that point. It may be better to assemble it in the conventional way, because push and pull doesn't make much of a difference in terms of temperatures. Thanks for responding.

@@prime1964 I think its better to go with lancool 3 i want the best airflow for all of my components i would've chosen fractal torrent if i was going to do air cooled build Do you have any suggestion besides lancool 3? Also i watched your lancool 3 build video and i didn't know you could remove ssd mounting plates on the side bracket Thank you for amzing detailed video

@@unmaykr1434 i actually have the fractal torrent for my other pc and it’s best for both cpu/gpu temps.

@@unmaykr1434 2-3 deg for both cpu and gpu temps, in favor of the Fractal Torrent with both using stock fans. But if you did what i did with the Lancool 3 with the same number of fans, it should be better in temps

Why not 9 fans? I had i think 10-12 fans in my previous build. For the Lian Li software, yes it took me a few minutes to figure it out but that was it, havent had any need to look at it again, been working fine since then

I was getting better airflow and temps with the Lancool 3, because of how that case was designed and with the 12 fans i used in it. But ive been using the evo daily and i had no issues with temps

Should be fine. Helios is a big case. I think i had a push/pull configuration in there at one point

1. I agree, but that’s how the case was designed. It’ll even look weirder if I remove the front bottom fan. 2. I’ve tested all possible fan configurations in this case. The push/pull configuration as front intake gave me the best temps. So, it's not really dumb. 3. I agree. At the time of making this PC/video, only the 3 pack 140 Lian Li Infinity fans was available to buy. 4. I went with the L connect controller from Lian Li so i can use their Fan/RGB software. 5. If 1 brand has all the good components that I want, then i would surely do that. I don’t want to sacrifice performance just to show a single brand. 6. The PSU stock cables were too short and rigid, it would have been a pain to cable manage. Also, I wanted the black and blue theme. So, it makes sense to me. 7. The SSD I used does’t have a heatsink.

So far, I havent encountered any issues with the Asus mobo, but from what I understand, the recent problems are from the combination of Asus mobo/AMD x3d cpus along with overclocking and specific bios. The gpu bracket is pretty neat and not too obvious looking, it is attached through the motherboard using mobo screws/standoffs. It can hold a big strix gpu without any problem.

@@prime1964 Sorry to continue to ask questions. This one involves the video card/connector: Any issues thus far with the connector melting? I have a different PSU, but want to ask if you are experiencing any of the plug issues that seem to be cropping up. Again, I thank you for your posting and responses. Want to get started on my son's build soon.

@@garymbushsr.7723 i didnt use the cable that came with the psu nor the adapter that came with the gpu, i used a cable mod cable that connects directly to the gpu and psu. Just have to make sure you push it in all the way to ensure a good connection. Since this video was posted, im now using cable mod’s 90 deg adapter for a cleaner look. No issues so far.

Its in the back and i only have dim blue lights on. Not like in the video.
