Good job. I appreciate that you actually went through the exercise of putting it on and taking a test drive. I just Amazon purchased this Stance Magic spare ($344) instead of the better known Modern Spare version ($499). Besides a clear price advantage, the Stance Magic’s scissor jack incorporates the all-important nob from a Tesla jack pad. I hope this nob is removable just in case there’s not enough ground clearance with it attached.
@gotTeslaModelY
@gotTeslaModelY 5 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, the nob slides out and removable. However, note that IF you happen to have a zero psi on your flat tire the clearance between a flat ground and underneath of car is about 3.5". The resting or retracted height of this scissor jack even without the nob is almost 4". That means there is not enough room to wedge the jack down there. We'll, that's the worse scenario. Anyway, I just always carry plastic RV yellow jack pads in my Y. I can always rollover the yellow pads to give me additional clearance needed to wedge the jack underneath. On my long trips, I also carry my 1.5T rapid pump floor jack which only weighs 33 lbs.

Btw, it is really nice to have a spare tire. 3 weeks ago, had my 2nd flat tire. Spare tire to the rescue! I was able to install it and take the full size tire to a tire shop.

Someone could die if the correct bonding/grounding isn't done correctly, depends on how you use the generator. That's why ppl pay licensed Electricians....... the manual doesn't tell you that, because they say "It is a floating Neutral Generator" which means a specific way to connect the wiring/Bonding/Grounding. ASK A KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON...... So nice Video on how to put oil in it.......

The jack and wrench I store in the rear trunk. I have seven seater (in case I need the extra seats) and I usually lay it flat in the rear area behind second row seats. Some times, I wedge it upright behind the second and third row seats. There are a few posts from a Model Y forum wherein they have modified the trunk area to hide the spare tire! This was on a 5-seater. It is a great idea because you wouldn't know the tire is underneath. I have not tackle that project yet coz I have a 7-seater. I might utilize the roof rack if I need to haul up to six passengers.

Just purchased one of these generators. Just a word of advise though. Take the deflector off the a/c unit. Or at least adjust it push side to side. The cold air settles from top down. Your deflecting it at the ground and your losing the cooling effect. Thanks for the video.

@gotTeslaModelY
@gotTeslaModelY 3 жыл бұрын
All of my tools are light duty (hammer drill, reciprocating saws, sander, dry/wet vacuum to include rv appliances like microwave and fridge. All of them are within the starting 2300 watts capability of the generator. For me that the important watt capacity. You go beyond that, it will trip the breaker! For example, my coffee brewer is only rated 700w, but the STARTING wattage is 1500w(to properly heat up initialy). One it heats up, the continues wattage is at 700w. I have a 3 gallon portable air compressor and it's fine because it's only at 384 running watts. My light duty tools vary from 6 amps to 13 amps. You multiply that amperage x 120v= wattage. Just look at the labels on your tools to ensure this generator will serve your needs.
@gotTeslaModelY
@gotTeslaModelY 3 жыл бұрын
In addition, if you want to know the exact starting wattage (like a coffee brewer), you could call the manufacturer, by phone or email. Remember, the label might say 1000w, but that the continues watt usage. The starting wattage will always be higher and can go above this generator's capacity, of which is useless for your application. Then you better just buy a higher capacity unit. Good luck!

Last caveat- for temperatures in the triple digits ( desert areas) hmmmm....it wont work. It will only run for 5 short minutes....it's just too hot for the unit.
@gotTeslaModelY
@gotTeslaModelY 4 жыл бұрын
Other caveats- the generator will easily work at around low 80's temperature. With high 80s to 90s, run it about 10 minutes before turning on the AC on low. Then wait a few more minutes to set on FULL blast! Enjoy the Cold AC!!!
@gotTeslaModelY
@gotTeslaModelY 4 жыл бұрын
Caveats- the generator needs additional plug/socket adaptors. The one 15amp outlet will not have enough amperage to power the AC that's pulling up to 20 amps. So in order to do that, I bought a Y-connector cable with 2 Male plugs with one female 30amp socket. Basically you plug the two 15amp using the Y-connector to be able to get a 30amp on the other end. DISCLOSURE: always test your equipment for safety! This is just my personal experience. I am not advsing anyone to do this. Please consult a professional electrician if you have to.

Hey Mark! Yeah, It's been a while that I have been contemplating on buying a portable generator. But with the recent " catastrophic fires" close to where I live here in Southern California, I decided to pull the trigger on the purchase. After watching lots of generator reviews here in youtube, I narrowed my decision on this unit for affordability(when on sale- ebay $349-379; amazon $429), peak power for what I need now and able to UPGRADE later using PARALLEL BOX, and of course portability. The latter is awesome for me- I'm a little guy but able to carry this thing around with minimal difficulty. LOL! I'll probably do a test on running my brother's air condition unit on his 27 ft travel trailer this weekend. Go to amazon.com and search Pulsar G2319N. You'll find reviews as old as 2017 on this model and/or brand.
