First bike when I returned after a twenty year absence of riding was a new 05 Shadow Spirit 750,rode it for 7 years and had to try the Harley thing.well five Harleys later,I want a Shadow back again,I'm thinking a Ace bobbed.So I'm looking.

Last weekend I bought my first motorcycle. Not the first I've ridden, but the first I've owned. A 2002 Honda Shadow ACE. I love it. I've ridden it every day since, save for one day. I'm not bored with it, but I already want another. And another. Maybe even something like a Super Cub. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a collection over the next few years.

I found a great deal on a Honda Fury that I was tempted to buy while my Shadow is down. But then my cheapness took over and decided to spend the money fixing the Shadow.

I hear ya. The Fury is a nice, nice bike, but it's also good to put first thing's first.

If you are using 2" risers than everything should reach with 10" bars unless they are ridiculously wide. Mine are 12" and only had to swap out the clutch cable.

My own two cents, so take it for what it is, yes, we are here for motorcycles, but anyone can talk about motorcycles to an extent. It's your take, experience, and guess what??? Personality that brings people back. Your mental health is always number one, but you have a ton of people in your corner whether you realize it or not. Looking forward to hearing about the ride and one day I will be able to make the trip. Stay safe bud!

I've never understood why people hate motorcyclists. My dream would be everyone rode motorbikes and I was the only car out on the road. Then there'd be no traffic jams, no slow drivers, no dangerous drivers. Even if you think a biker is reckless, they're gonna get out of your way. I just don't get it.

When coming to an emergency stop is it good to hold a clutch in when you can downshift
@LuckyAcesRiding6 күн бұрын
Pulling in the clutch disengages the engine from the wheels and from what I understand in an emergency stop situation that is what you want.

Looking into buying these! Or the backdraft exhaust from them in chrome. The backdraft I don’t think I can put any baffles on it I currently have the stock with baffles drilled out so I think I’ll be OK without jetting
@LuckyAcesRiding6 күн бұрын
My Aero came with the baffles removed and no signs of tampering with the carburetor. The drag pipes with the baffles in actually made it run slightly better...or it was all in my head. If the backdraft has a straight cut at the end you should be able to use the 1.75" baffles on TJ's site or from Amazon.
