Its not lack of pen. The cut was deeper than the rod

Never tac weld there no fusion in the weld. Tac is just to hold something for a second. Go slow speard ur puddle out. Get penetration at the bottom and both side.

What do I spray my connections with?
@WeldYouLookAtThat18 күн бұрын
@BeastBot427 about 8 drops of dish soap and warm water in a spray bottle. You want the water real soapy so when you spray your connections it foams really bad if there is a leak.

Generally speaking, stick welds like that one should be welded without terminating the arc, what's shown there causes or suffers from: incomplete fusion, slag inclusions/porosity, and is generally wrong

What exactly is misleading about this? Welding is... joining together (metal pieces or parts) by heating the surfaces to the point of melting using a blowtorch, electric arc, or other means, and uniting them by pressing, hammering, etc. The pieces he is welding, are in fact, joined together, making them 1. What exactly is the correct way? Looks fine to me

Hmmm....undercut right there, and there. Welds is underfill. Sir, you will have to grind that with your teeth, trim it by eating the chocolate bar, and re-bevel with your teeth. Enjoying the re-work is optional

😂😂😂,People react to much about spot weld techniques and said it’s wrong. Well for me, it’s good ❤. If you can manipulate the rod properly the result would be great. You know it’s a common techniques in japan and other countries. We even used that kind of techniques in pipes and do lock weld. The only thing is you just need to manipulate it correctly. If you think that technique is bad then consider bad welding going down. Just saying.

To all you experts out there, I know you say there are better methods, but, can this method of welding be good if he remove the slag and brush the weld after each tack?

@rahhhh15802 ай бұрын
my instructor said you can weld it while its still hot and youll be able to avoid porosity, so if do it quickly you should be able to get a decent weld. (started welding school 2 months ago) not 100% confident
