If it were mine and had gone through all the effort that you did to make it run . I would bring it back to showroom looks. Spiff, polish and buff the bare aluminum pieces and paint it that cool yellow that is seldom seen and get the proper decals and do it up right. If you went to the trouble of painting and left the aluminum merely cleaned it would look half hearted. But that was a year ago.

Hi, I like this build I knew the 200sx motor fit in the 86-87 200x, but this is good to know I will be looking for a 200sx motor could you please show and share the motor mounts better thanks.
@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS3 күн бұрын
Sure thing! When I shake everything down for paint I will definitely show it. A word of caution though, it was a VERY tight squeeze and I needed to chop out the stock rear and lower mounts and shift the engine about a half inch to the right to get the sprocket to line up. You don't notice it unless you know though. I had to do the same thing when I put the other 200sx engine in my XL125, the engine is shifted right but looks fine and balance is fine.

One dealer put a really large sprocket on the back wheel. I saw it and my girlfriend rode the 90 to see if I could prevent her from taking off. I couldn't. This sprocket was about 13+ inches in diameter. You could put a deer on the rack and drive back out of the rough woods with it. I haven't seen any pictures of it on KZbin. Just the little ones.

Gret Video! Did you have any issue when switching to vertical with the table not lining up to the 2 screws? My lower blade guard has the litte clip on the upper end that sticks up above the table. It seems it's about 1/4" or so in the way? I can either cut the little piece of plastic clip off. Or I would need to take a 1/4" nip off the corner of the table? If i leave the lower Blade guard off, the table fits fine. But I don't want to do that. I could put the table on top of the clip so it would go back the extra 1/4" or so to get the screws to line up. But then the table would be tilted. Am I the only one with this issue? Its 2am Maybe I'm just tired & missing something?

WOW!! to find a 200x for reasonable money is impossible out here in PA...Are you going to that monkey bike ride that you posted on the other day? I drove two hours to go and get it and someone had taken the engine out and swapped it with a generic four stroke...I just had to laugh..I sat it in the barn and have not done anything with it yet..I suppose I do have some projects....-John
