Back in 1981, my stock Yamaha SR500 seemed to have almost unlimited ground clearance. The only thing that ever scraped on the road was the exhaust header pipe in RH corners, unlike my later 650 4 cylinder Honda and Suzuki machines that would have my boot squashed between the road and the crankcase!, with the foot peg folding up!

Honestly guy it sounds like your starter still trying to fire intermittently I've got a 01 ls650 and one of the magnets in the starter try to renegade itself I believe my decomp solenoid is the problem I've got 12 volts to it starter got a brand new one starts off the bike even my old one after I personally re-glued the magnets within the starter and then reset the core inside of it it's not completely free spinning it's not bound up but the magnets inside there are four of them running lengthwise two of them slid together on one side and two slit together on the other side creating uneven pressure so it's still staying centered within the casing it's just got uneven pressure so that it's just working out weird but it even works well off the bike I haven't actually checked the starter relay but I guess I'm having to

@@iansadowski636 You mean besides the incorrect position of foot controls, inability to find sport tires for the wheels, suspension not meant to handle hard braking, inability to lean it in a corner because of ground clearance issues, and so much chassis flex that it would fall apart at 100 mph?
