trust me I feel your pain phasing sucks… but you do know a 30% is expected like 5+ phases right ? I know it ended up taking more but bro seemed baffled by phase 2.

i started this hunt not long after the game came out and got to about 15k and left it only recently picked it back up incase bank gets shut down completely dunno how many more it took over 15k because i didnt bother counting just glad to have this before its to late

Yea getting controller mod was a literal life saver for me. I physically cannot use a DS normally even now but what I discovered when I stopped hunting is when using a regular controller my hands are in a position where it's comfortable and non straining so I simply had to get the mod done or else I would have had to stop hunting entirely.

The Gen 3 sprites are by far my favorite. Finally got a mystic ticket off eBay on my original fire red from release day all the way back in October 2004. Going for shiny ho oh currently, Lugia will be after. Then back for the ice cave 1% lapras using the incense trick. Awesome video!

The route that you take in the beginning on top of the mountain makes it so you can hear the shiny sound without having to check the spawns. There's 3 on top in front of the temple. You were a seasoned PLA hunter when you uploaded this. You actually miss one at the end of the lake if you stop at the midway point of the edge of the lake to turn left and check the spawns in the water. If you finish the check by looking around Heart's Crag, you will find a lot of spawns, but you never know when that one spawn that you didn't end up checking could've been shiny. Do you have a full stream archive of this hunt? This is the only mon I want shiny, and I already have the odds at 1/1024(?) by having perfected the dex entry.

Shiny Mew is one of the rarest shinies in Pokemon, and you have to get it in Faraway Island. Crystal's Shiny Celebi is also pretty rare, and so are Shiny Primal Groudon and Shiny Primal Kyogre.

Yes static works as well as Magnet Pull. Best advice is to faint your static in the front of your party and use an illumate pokemon like staryu in the 2nd slot

Didn't use a repel trick for this hunt but you could if you wanted to. If you used a Lvl 13 RT on floor 1F then Cubone is 50% alongside Machoke but the encounter rate would only be 10%. If you hunted on floor BF1 you can find Marowak. You can use a Lvl 14 RT there to encounter Marowak at 16.67% instead of 5%. Without a RT Cubone is 35% on Floor 1 & 30% on Floor BF1. Hope this helps :)

I'm currently in the process of doing this too. Even though I have already caught a normal Celebi awhile ago, after recently restarting crystal I'm trying to get a shiny Celebi before the pokemon bank shutdown. All I need to do now is wait a few hours for tomorrow to be able to try and catch it

Hey I got a question, I used to use an action replay on my heart gold as a kid but now I’ve gone back to the game to properly shiny hunt and in a week and a bit I’ve gotten four shiny Pokémon, all have been crazily under odds and I’ve been wondering if I’ve just gotten ungodly lucky or if the action replay has changed something. Like it’s so crazy that I don’t know if it’s even legit.

Sometimes you just go on a lucky streak but don't worry RNG will ruin that soon lmao. If you ever get a lucky streak without fail RNG will give you a very over odds hunt soon after
