To bad you can only get 10K pounds on it. That's the problem with trailers is the standing weight. They're too heavy.

I bought about the same 1988 2475 international that has been sitting on the edge of a road easement for the last 15 years. Put new starter, alternator, and batteries in it n it fired right up, held air n drove it home 20 miles. Those old trucks just want to run.

I’m in IT as well and trying to figure out how I can do both. About to buy a dump trailer and older 3/4 ton to start. The rock quarries aren’t open on the weekends here either
@kevenkullberg99552 ай бұрын
A great idea, but it needs a single tooth ripper on the back so when you curled the rake, you can rip out small stumps,roots and rocks and it needs a full thumb for loading all that debris and caterpillar needs to give you a hat so you’re not wearing a John Deere hat!

Turn the steering wheel while you turn her over, she will start alot better and less wear on the starter. The power steering pump works off the motor rotation.

I saw a guy who keeps a 4x4 piece of treated lumber between the dump bed and the frame(at the front edge) to prevent the dump bed from going all the way down. He said it saves his battery and pump because those first 4 inches are the most strain in the system.

I've dumped 7 1/2 ton with my 12 foot trailer (same under the bed, 2 rams like yours) 6 or 7 times without a recharge to my isolated battery. My battery has around 900 CCA's. Seems like they went cheap on your battery.

😂😂😂 if you say so…. Purposely putting the minimum amount of ground force down as possible. The goal isn’t to dig…. But alright, I’m happy with the attachment. I have won a lot of clean up jobs with this, so I guess to each their own. Thanks for the view and comment!

Curious... if people are paying you to pick up and deliver mulch or gravel, why wouldn't they just pay the garden center to deliver it? How can you make money picking up the mulch and delivering? If they pay $70 for delivery from garden center, what makes them chose you

Hi, Lee here. I just subscribed after seeing this vid about an air seat. I have a 97 f250hd 7.3v2wd ext cab. 116 000 miles. I want to drive it around a lot with a cabover and my 3 little doggers. I am having a hell of a time trying to find a low type air seat to I could figure out how to do this. The 97 Ford seats are totally bunk. You obviously can relate to having a comfy seats. Especially when it is regularly said that the 7.7 is good for 500,000. That is a lot of sitting. And fortunately my doggies can ride on a regular old seat on passenger side. Have you got any advice or recommendations. Etc. I have talked to a number of BIG Ztruck air seat people but have really not gotten much assisfance. Go figure.....trying to buy one of these seats. Thank you.

I’m struggling to understand how this pencils out at $100 a load. Operating expenses, maintenance, repairs, and depreciation to your truck & trailer alone are probably $100 a load or more. I have well over a decade of experience owning and operating a construction business with the same equipment. It’s a lot more expensive over the long term than you think to operate rigs like this.

Hey there, this video is pretty dated now. A lot has changed in the last 4 years. I believe this be video was recorded in 2020. We now charge $8/mile with a $100 minimum for our delivery charges. We now only have dump trucks; no dump trailers.
@MrAdamdumont894 ай бұрын
@@RockyBottomAcres That makes sense. A lot has changed in 4 years with inflation. Anyway, great job on your videos!

… bro if the quarry is 45 minute away and you’re driving to that shit every day sometimes twice a day… this ain’t a side hustle it’s a full time job 😂
@RockyBottomAcres4 ай бұрын
This 1 quarry is 45 mins away; they aren’t all. Mulch suppliers are 15 mins, topsoil leaves from the farm, limestone gravel 20 mins away, etc. There’s also speciality products we haul 90-120 mins to get it here, and those we make a delivery fee and markup of material on because we store it. I also have 2 people that drive part time. Sounds like maybe you’re looking for a side hustle that doesn’t require work. :)

@RockyBottomAcres4 ай бұрын
Yes, I already had a foot pedal and my stick was already plumed. I did end up having to add a relief valve. You want to make sure that your bucket curl can retract your thumb so they don’t deadhead to fight each other. If they do, they could bend hyd cylinder rods.

@DigginLife212 ай бұрын
Depends on who you talk to and your state. But if your gcwr is over 26k pounds you will need a cdl.

Thank you for walking us through how to attach the lounger to your ATV. I haven't seen anyone else do that in their demos. Bummer about the lock. Do you have any vids about the passenger buddy pegs for their feet? Would love to see how you put those on as well. Thanks!
@SteadfastRC5 ай бұрын
Why are you having to have it inspected?
@RichardGenthnerMoose5 ай бұрын
I'm curious how your getting around the the CDL requirement? as CDL is required by Federal DOT when your trailer is over 10,000lbs (Trailer + load). 5 Tons is 10,000lbs and i'm guessing that the nexhaul trailer is around 4900lbs. Meaning you legally could only haul 5100lbs of load. Wondering if your state has different rules then DOT. As I have looked into this with my truck and found out that I would need a CDL.
@RockyBottomAcres5 ай бұрын
It’s not a matter of “getting around”. Federal requirements kick in at 26,001. Under 26k, does not need a cdl. The rule you’re talking about is a trailer over 10k and a gvwr total of 26,001 or more. State regulations do vary in this 10k-26k range though. In VA, totally legal as configured. It would not be if I had a dually, as I’d be over.

Very good work and on budget. suggested improvement 1) longer screen in slope I mean, not in width. 2) adjustable angle 3) two 10 to 20 inches small wheel in the front of the base that would help in transportation. 4) you may add a vibrator but for extended budget. Keep the good work
