Nice job, works really well. I am thinking of just adding a bar with teeth to my clean out bucket and bolting it on. I have a 3' wide bucket, so a 4' attachment should work pretty good. That way I can minimize fabrication, as I would need extra plates for the bucket attachment. Cheers from Canada.

It’s awesome you have the tools and ability to make this rake and other attachments as well. It’s like you’ve brought being industrious to an art form. Very cool!

Nice, I finally found a video yawing one the way it was intended to be used.

I do the same thing with the rhinox riddle rake bucket. And it is easier on the soil so that even on a nice manicured lawn it leaves it looking pretty nice with very little damage.

It looks great im going to make something similar but with longer teeth and a rake to attach ti my thumb as well to grapple the brush into a trailer, i might see about putting a small ripper on the backside of the rake too incase i run into any roots

Very nice work! I have been building a number of attachments for my mini also. I have a local shop cut out any fancy items for me on their laser table and it's a very reasonable price. You might find that you with it had tilt, not a terribly hard thing to add and would be a fun project. I like that you bolted it to the bracket saves money on buying multiple brackets. especially for a tool that you likely won't use all the time.

Thank you for your comment! Yes, I am just hoping the bolts do not break - it may be a weak point but I am not sure. But they are 1" grade 8. So far so good. I ran this rake for about 12-15 hours total on that project. I plan on making a plate to hold the auger from the skid on the excavator, and that is why I went with the bolted bucket adapter mechanism.

That’s actually pretty neat!

A great idea, but it needs a single tooth ripper on the back so when you curled the rake, you can rip out small stumps,roots and rocks and it needs a full thumb for loading all that debris and caterpillar needs to give you a hat so you’re not wearing a John Deere hat!

I like the simplicity of the design however, if it was mine I’d probably put 6 inch extensions on it to facilitate better dirt sifting and allow some light digging of stuck roots. Just a thought though, have a blessed day.

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense. If this one breaks, I will definitely give it a try.

I would say that works very well. I may have to make one myself

Would longer teeth help get the dirt out better?
@jessesmith118110 ай бұрын
Just a thought. You can make that rake where a thumb would have clamped onto it. Then just set it down to use bucket and thumb to load amd pick it back up quickly to rake. No need to attach or unattach anything that way

What's the dimensions?

I would like to know the dimensions and what it is built out of so I can fabricate one for my Takeuchi excavator thanks

Nice job fabbing up that rake. It gives me some ideas on cleaning up some ditches around here. Do you feel like your rake is more productive than say a 3-point root rake on a tractor?
@RockyBottomAcres Жыл бұрын
I think so, because you have a lot more orientation and control over an excavator boom. I thought about a skid loader, but it’s wider and thought it would miss more in high/low spots. I think this would be perfect for ditch work!

Where did you get the attachment part?
@RockyBottomAcres11 ай бұрын
Found on eBay, “305cr adapter plate” or “305cr mount plate”

i saw the part where a tiny root stopped it. its useless. a regular bucket already has teeth

😂😂😂 if you say so…. Purposely putting the minimum amount of ground force down as possible. The goal isn’t to dig…. But alright, I’m happy with the attachment. I have won a lot of clean up jobs with this, so I guess to each their own. Thanks for the view and comment!
