I got the Pack of Destruction back when it first came out, but never did get the crumble zone (I suspect because the scale of the figures did not match). I'd rather have had another different set of Pack of Destruction monsters and just the Crumble Zone *without* the figures.

I'm wondering what those rectangles printed on the playmat are supposed to be for. There are three gray ones numbered 1, 2, and 3, and then there are those green rectangles with white lines on a yellow background. Are buildings supposed to fit over any of those, or what?

This honestly takes away from our favourite Kaiju. And I mean a LOT. Firstly, our big G has died on some movies such as 1954, Godzilla vs kong the first one, 1998, and now minus one. And him not even allowed to eat as a creature? That just takes away the whole living look’s from him. If he can’t eat, this would impact him looking real. A creature can’t just survive without food for their entire life. Maybe for a long time like an alligator or snake can. But Godzilla can’t eat and that is basically impossible. He can’t survive without food at all he needs to eat. We see kong eating the giant octopus. But Godzilla can’t do a normal behaviour in animals? That is messed up.

Perhaps the movie godzilla 2000 needs to be watched again, godzilla leaned down to look into the vehicle in the tunnel, then at the end he clawed the building and had a stare down against the dude that was staring back before godzilla torn the building and sent him falling to his death.

Doesn’t monsterverse godzilla show emotion in almost every movie he's in? And personally i don't need godzilla to die, everyone always wants to talk about death, and eventually want something to die cuz for some abysmal reason that's what makes them feel better. I think it would be far more interesting and worthwhile for MV godzilla to quite possibly straight up go into actual godhood and then leave his own... Godzilla... Kid? To continue his legacy, have Suko be the new kong too, (depending on if Legendary will even continue the Monsterverse at all).

Godzilla not being able to prey on things just doesnt make sense to me. Throughout ALL his incarnations he has sought out other kaiju to destroy. Its pretty fundamental to the character. Godzilla always forcibly asserts his dominance. I do think Godzilla should be able to die but as it stand right now you have to show a piece of him regenerating so fine, you can kill him but you know he’s coming back. This will not actually kill the monsterverse though. Kong has proven to be a bankable character, one that the audience is allowed to connect with unlike Godzilla. Which is too bad, because I loved Serwizowa’s last moments with Godzilla in King of the Monsters. But as sad as I would be to see America lose the rights to Godzilla if it came to that, I would still support Kong film’s going forward even though the Big G is my favorite.

Honestly, I don't think it's really necessary to have it be a rule Godzilla always be a representation of something.

In GMK by far my favorite part is when he first surfaces he is trudging along and then people screaming draws his attention and he turns to them and charges up his "def not nuclear" heat ray and then it cuts to the kids in the school witnessing a large mishroom cloud. This moment had such a huge impact on me and really set the tone for this Godzilla being a mean spirited force. I really hope this doesnt affect things like this.

In fairness, in Minus One he didn't eat those soldiers so this is more akin to a dog biting than him actively preying on them. Honestly the issue with this rule is gonna lie in how it's interpreted.

I'd still love to see a very Dark version of Godzilla...show us Odo Island, and the Villagers sending a girl out on a raft to be eaten. And when Goji makes Landfall, he actively seeks out Humans as prey...YES show him eating people the way Zedus did in Gamera the Brave! Yum-Yum! 😝

Easy answer it’s time for America to make its own kaiju just like in the 50s. It’s not the Japanese kaiju that inspired America. It’s the American kaiju inspiring Japan.

This is why I sorta hate modern Toho and anything they put out. Godzilla emoted all the time back in the day. The Monsterverse is making the kind of Godzilla I want Me i love seeing Godzilla flying around in zero gravity in hollow earth, and i am perfectly fine with Godzilla not having to be a metaphor for something, my favorite films are the late Showa era where the movies were just trying to be fun, so i am much happier with the state of the Monsterverse then i am with Reiwa Toho that either keeps remaking 1954 or presenting a continuity that is so far flung from what i see is Godzilla that its unrecognizable. With Shin Godzilla they did both of those thing's and i hated it

First, distancing him from radiation (it's not Atomic Breath and Nuclear Pulse anymore, it is now just Heat Ray and Energy Burst) now this.

I understand Godzilla not being able to die or eat people, but I don’t understand why he can’t eat things in general or why he can’t show emotion. Those are two of my favorite aspects of Godzilla, and now they’re gone.

My biggest problem with this new rule are that Godzilla can’t die or go after people. In my opinion Godzilla dying would show that even the most powerful kaiju and such aren’t safe from death and it would be impactful and relatable. And Godzilla not going after or prey on people or things also takes a lot away from him. One of the main reasons why Godzilla has been here for so long is how he can apply to audiences of all kinds. Either as Defender of earth, or force of nature, or an evil monster.

What I think toho suck at making movie so they set rules so American won't out do them.

Not prey on humans? What about 1954, that was traumatizing, a mother was holding her kids and die and Godzilla died multiple times in movies

Just another IP Japan wants to damage because they don't know what they're doing. There's a reason why Godzilla movies weren't good for decades. If this is the way they want to go than we're just going to see child friendly garbage again. I have no hope that the next Western movie will be any good if they enforce these changes on a real market. I guess I'll have to stick with Korea when it comes to monster movies. Maybe they'll work on some real kaiju movies as their monsters don't get too large. At this point I'm more looking forward to Project Silence than anything Toho has their hands in.

Those are nothing new, idk why people got aware of this just now. The "Godzilla can't die" rule is that he can't die for complete. He can die if it's teased that he is not 100% dead or if it's shown an offspring in the end of the movie. Ignoring the 1954 film (because it's the first film, obviously would be no rules), every movie that he dies have followed that rule: Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995) we saw Godzilla Junior coming back to life before the movie ends Godzilla (1998) we saw the born of a baby Godzilla from an egg before the movie ends GMK (2001) we saw Godzilla's heart pulsing in the bottom of the ocean before the movie ends Godzilla Minus One (2023) we saw a piece of him regenerating before the movie ends

Him not eating peopl isn’t being “friendly.” It’s just being consistent with other Godzillas and they have no reason to make him eat people

I personally have a huge issue with the rule that Godzilla can never die. His deaths in 1954 and Godzilla vs Destoroyah were some of the meaningful and impactful moments in the whole series, and limiting another scene like that from happening is just limiting creativity. Like I get it if its like the world should never be devoid of another Godzilla specimen because that would be true of 1954 and Godzilla vs Destoroyah since Godzilla jr becomes the new Godzilla and in 1954 it is hinted that another Godzilla is out there which becomes true in Godzilla raids again.

These rules annoy me sometimes.

I see saying Godzilla not being able to prey on people or things is a matter of him not being able to kill people or other living animals or kaiju for food. Killing to protect his territory or himself is another matter entirely.

Well, in the monsterverse, how many times does Godzilla kill an enemy only for it to return in a different movie... King Ghidorah is the perfect example of this. He's killed KG at least 3 times I'm aware of in the history of Godzilla. Also, Godzilla has always been around since WWII and has always been about nuclear waste, why has there been changes made to that? I mean, many movies, he's destroyed nuclear reactors, rather ate them to replenish himself but, there was one movie where he didn't go after any nuclear reactors but "mother nature" replenished him through a lightening storm and turned himself into a living magnet per say. First Mecha Godzilla movie, look it up. Has TOHO forgotten King of the Monsters and what they did to Godzilla... no emotion... right. He goes god mode when his son is killed and he breaths life back to him. And honestly, grew up on these old movies and to see how much has changed and the direction they're going... last Godzilla movie I've seen was Godzilla 1998. Let him die occasionally and let his next born take his place. Otherwise, what was the point of "Son of Godzilla"???

I think Toho won’t let him die, or show emotion because they want to save those traits for their “World of Godzilla” cinematic universe. For him not being able to eat, I think that’s just them trying to keep things consistent.
