good idea but instead of using electric cables, you can use a flexible rubber tube as thick as the inner diameter of the batten tubes. then keeping a bit thicker area at the exposing connection part to make a natural stop for both end for the battens instead of silicon filling. this will also allow a rounder shape then a v shape. what do you think?

Nice job but you have the scale on a carpet. Meaning that board is heavier than it shows on the scale. You should have putted in a tile or concrete

Great video thanks. I could have used more explanation about the behaviour of old and new battens. The demo of white and black batten bending, seemed to show the opposite of what u saying. Also for i think as wind increases ive found center of effort of older sail moves backwards as front of sail flattens. Thats opposite to what you saying of old battens. Where did you buy the thin battens? Thanks again.

It looks like the planing plank on this is about 25-30 mm deep. The shots of it underway show that even at full planing speed the upper board still has a lot of influence re: skin friction. So have you looked at making the needle board thicker? Can you get away with making it thicker than you have or would that render it unsailable?

Much to involved waste of effort, much easier to purchase sling shot foil set on sail for 699.00 on sale.

Maybe in the process of making the mold, just painting the fin with PVA would have been easier than wrapping it in plastic. I like how you use spiral wire loom to absorb excess resin.

I think the pot smoking comment below must be right on spot, was it made into the shape of a joint? otherwise I don’t get it - if you spent this amount of labour and material - WHY you couldn’t be bothered to reshape the nose a little bit, which is in my opinion the most enjoyable part of a such job. And yes I made some weird looking boards too but this one is just the ugliest one ever, not mentioning the hydrodynamics. Keep the good work! 😅

Great video! I will try it! You should have used a spacer on top of the fin. The fin or mast should not touch the bottom of the tuttle box.

I tried it on my board! After only one session i can think I can conclude: 1: earlier and easier -more automatic- planing 2: better planing in between gusts 3: more control 4: Maybe a bit less topspeed

Jammer dat het DEFI-avontuur een teleurstelling is geworden. Ik ben van plan volgend jaar de gok te wagen. Je zegt dat de wind te sterk was voor de combi board+zeil+conditie. Wat was je kleinste board en zeil? Anyway, je bent gestart en hebt het geprobeerd, dat is meer dan 90% van de windsurfers kunnen zeggen. Vervelend van die lullige diefstal, dat verpest meteen de manier waarop je naar je omgeving kijkt en dus je stemming. Vooral als je alleen bent kun je daar dan lang in blijven hangen. Keep rockin' !
