Everyones saying the same thing, the tests need to be blind otherwise you cant give unbiased views. If i told you before you drove my car the tyres were utter crap youd look for fault, if i told you theyre the grippiest things ever youd push harder and do better lap times. Pre conception is real. Tyre reviews rated the conti sc7 as best, i got a set for my slk55 on the strength of that and other top reviews and they are a definate improvement over the bridgestones i had before... or maybe i just think they're better cos the tests said they were! Maybe the real takaway here is that all the premium tyres these days are closely matched and good enough for most of us.

Why use the conti premium contact and not the sport contact? You have to compare like with like for a fair test outcome. Sport contact win or at least get top 3 in every other comparison with potenza sport and michelin ps5 etc

Good to know they are all much of a muchness in the snow. But for all season tyres this is only a fraction of their all seasons usefulness.

Comfort and noise are the most important, since not everyday we go for racing or drive above the speed limit.

Will you be testing Alpin 7? It would be great if you could compare it to Goodyear UltraGrip 3 and Continental TS870P.

I've got p zero (pz4) runflats on my bmw. Are these the same rubber and tread as the ones on test? Not sure if i should get the conti's

Unless you're doing regular track days, just stick with the Michelin's, they'll outlast all the others.

This looks more like an 'U-UHP' test with the P-Zero, SportContact 7. Bit odd to compare such U-UHP tyres against UHP tyres like the PS5 and EagleF1 A6. Of course the U-UHP tyres come out on top of the more comfort oriented UHP tyres. Missed opportunity to have a more like-for-like test, comparing the P-Zero and SC7 against e.g. the Eagle F1 SuperSport and (regretfully the now old) PS4S, or to compare the PS5 and Eagle F1 A6 against the PremiumContact 7. That would have been a more informative test.

Did the tyres have the same load and speed rating? Do you think it would have an impact on the results?

I don't like it when reviews throw UHP and UUHP together and treat them as the same class of tyre. UUHP might be faster around a track, but it's highly unlikely it can beat UHP at every other characteristic (comfort, cost of ownership, etc.).

Hankook tires suck big time, the sideway movement in high speed corners is terrible on the highway, it feels like you're on a boat.

Is there a sense in which these tyres dont need a 'break in'? Cause my tyre guy said so, and I am trying to understand if the performance will get better, or this is the best I should expect from get and go.

P Zero the winner? jajajajaj, probably is the worse tyre of that bunch. Conti CS7 is the best tyre there by far.

Goodyear is consistently better than Michelin in wet conditions, in various tests shaving multiple meters in wet braking tests. I personally would prioritize wet performance - that I experience every second day - than better performance in the snow - which I see two days every year...

Goodyear asymmetric 6 is in many tests better than Pilot sport 5, and here you are trying to say that Pilot sport 5 is better than Supersport...LOL no way

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S is the comparable UHP tyre , not the Pilot Sport 5.

The Potenza is way ahead in the wet but only 0.3sec faster in the dry though.

These are crossovers not SUV’s 😂 my RAV4 is basically a Camry on stilts with awd for bad weather. I’m concerned with treadwear grip (especially in the rain) and it being quiet and comfortable.

Ive recently changed to these SC7, coming from PS4Ss. Greater on dry, but PS4Ss slightly better on wet/greasy

Great tire for road but this is NOT UUHP tire. Just a mere UHP comparable to pilot sport 5, but not 4s

Have these tires on my tesla and got a nail in it while traveling. Tires had 900 miles on it. Tesla roadside won't fix these but they will sell you another for 450$. Could not find a tire shop that would fix the tire either because of the foam pad insert. I recommend if you travel out of town to carry a spare tire.

Hello, I live in Greece where the climate is rather hot, but during winter it's rather chilly where I am, not so much to use winter tyres tho, so I decided to go for all season tyres. My question is what tyre of them is the more summer oriented, I actually want the best for dry and wet but when the time to step on snow comes, to be able to deal with it.
