Not with this communicator. It will only report to an alarm receiver like they have at monitoring stations. So unless you have one, it won’t work. What phone were you using at 14:57 And how do you pair it up with the panel
@NM_Tech6 ай бұрын
It’s a Cisco 7841 VoIP phone. The phone is not paired to the panel. The panel reports to a central station receiver as if it’s hooked up to real monitoring service. But the panel and central station receiver are on a privately controlled phone network in which I had partial control over. When the panel signals the receiver to do “listen in” the receiver then routes the call somewhere else. At a real monitoring station, the call would usually be routed to a live operator at the station. But on this private phone network we had control over, the call was routed to a different phone extension outside the location where the receiver is. In this case, my Cisco phone.

Hey NM! I have my siren wired the same way (red for power and black for neutral; red on terminal 3 at the panel, and black on terminal 4 at the panel). However, my Honeywell WAVE-2 makes a constant low vibrate/rattle/buzzing sound. I tried troubleshooting online, but didn't find anything yet. Any idea what that might be? The only thing different with my Vista 20P set up is I upgraded to the 1361 Transformer (16.5VAC, 40VA) over the 1321 (but not sure if that's sufficient to make a difference). Thanks!

Honeywell equipment is solid quality and more easier to work with than some others. DSC would probably be higher quality equipment but as far as I know, not as easy to learn especially if you’re just beginning. I would recommend the Honeywell Vista 20P or similar models(15P, 10P, 21IP) as I worked with in this series of videos. Usually eBay you can get this equipment new or second hand for decent prices.
