Earl Gardner didn't write Misty. My mother did. Sent it to a record studio.she never got credit. That was when people composed and sang and recorded at home or in pay studios They sent the music to a radio station or studio Many people never got credit for their compositions. My mother wrote the lyrics and music. But her entry was stolen. That was in the early 50's. She didn't have an agent.so never got credit and we couldn't prove she wrote it. Early Garner did not compose. He and JOHNNY MATIS GOT CREDIT FOR IT. I HAVE TRIED TO PROVE MY MOTHER COMPOSED IT.BUT THAT WAS OVER 70 YEARS AGO. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL SONG AND EVERY TIME. I HEAR IT. I REMEMBER HOW IT WAS STOLEN FROM MY MOTHER.

This is this great thing about music: every singer can express his or her thoughts, emotions, feelings through a song, its tempo, the way it is sung and/or played. "Come away with me" has had a great journey over the years so far, sung and played by Norah Jones. There are no words to describe the depth and beauty of this journey. It is a great gift, she is sharing. Truly healing.
