I'm trying to remove only the section below the steering wheel (in order to get at the clutch pedal). In your video, you've already removed the side cover. How do I remove the side cover? I don't want to force/break it.

Can you recommend a transmission fluid replacement for a ddct 2013 dart turbo. The dealer said that the transmission fluid is lifetime but needs to be replaced at 100k? DDCT (dry clutch transmission) thanks

Been doing a lot of research on the Dart since I picked one up in very good shape. Mine has an Automatic transmission, but the same instructions for a manual trans are given in the Owner's Manual: Fluid and Filter Changes Under normal operating conditions, the fluid installed at the factory will provide satisfactory lubrication for the life of the vehicle. However, if the vehicle is used for frequent trailer towing, police, fleet, taxi, etc., change the fluid as indicated in the Maintenance Schedule. In addi- tion, change the fluid (and filter, if equipped) if the fluid becomes contaminated (with water, etc.), or if the trans- mission is disassembled for any reason So unless you meet the heavy use requirements, Dodge is saying that one does not have to replace the trans fluid ever. Anyone have a comment on that? Do you believe Dodge? I feel this is important because transmissions are expensive to replace and because the average 'Backyard mechanic' does not have a lift (car has to be raised LEVEL to put new fluid in). Estimates for Trans oil replacement at a mechanic is about $360 according to on-line estimates. I have another question regarding the Transaxle (FWD version of a RWD Differential) on the Dart. Transaxle isn't even addressed in the owner manual. I assume that the Transaxle is the same as the transmission - sealed at the factory and oil in it expected to last the life of the vehicle. There is absolutely no reference to Transaxle oil type in the FLUIDS, LUBRICANTS, AND GENUINE PARTS section of the maintenance manual. On-line I have seen that some people have changed the Transaxle fluid using a procedure very similar to the procedure for changing the transmission fluid. Additionally, on-line research found that recommended transaxle oil change is every 30K - 50K - at on-line estimates of around $207, that could get spendy. Any thoughts on the Transaxle?

have you changed the transmission fluid? i have a 2013 dart rallye with 124k miles and have never changed it, only routine maintained like oil change and other stuff, also when i called my dodge dealer they told me the same thing u said, unless being using for towing and what not they said it’s lifetime
@lmn19667 ай бұрын
Our dealer mentioned that the fluid needs to be replaced at every 100k. Even if it’s lifetime

The only thing I seriously think you should include in this video and maybe others you have uploaded is the size socks and additional tools for screws, nut’s, and bolts to do this job! Not just the flat head you showed in the video! If you told me I need a ten MM as well as a 5/16th and a 13mm socket it’d go a long way especially if we’re watching this video/other videos for help and guidance!

@josh2711 Жыл бұрын
Did filling yours to that level work good for you? I’m not seeing fluid filled like that in mine and I was just trying to check the level. I have a super fussy 2013 1.4 turbo ddc, it one time started taking gears from me because the engine oil had gotten low (probably a good thing). Anyway I changed the oil and it ran fine for me. This car did the same thing when it wanted a new battery. Now it had an evap problem, I changed the purge valve and it kept acting up. I took it in and the dealer said the valve from autozone was trash and they put a new mopar one in. The emissions test won’t complete and I still have a P1c9d. So I took it to the other specific dodge dealer and they said their readers are saying a bad transmission valve body. But the car runs just fine for the first 15 or so minutes. So I took the rubber plug out like in your video and I’m only feeling traces of mtf in there.

@@kareemahmed1030 I know im late af but removed one of these glove boxes today. Took about 30 min of fighting but first off he missed a whole screw on the rear plastic piece. There is one in the center of the very back piece. Youre gonna have to hang upside down and just get in there with a small ratchet and 7mm. In total there is 5 bolts holding the rear of the glovebox. 3 on the rear facing inward, and 1 on each side facing upward.

Im case someone is watching this some years later, make sure you disconnect the car battery an hour before you actually disconnect your seats. Otherwise you risk deploying the airbags which could kill you.
