For $1800 CAD is this saw actually that much better than the current Husqvarna 372 at $1200 CAD? Honest question, as I am still convinced that the 10mm Stihl 044 was the best in class and the later versions were pretty okay as well.
@jimssawsnstuff890311 күн бұрын
@@turtlewolfpack6061 I believe Echo is getting hit with the Turdeau hair tax (Carbon tax) on this saw for emissions and is passing it on. If you’re lucky you’ll find a 7310 for a better price, but you’d have to do some searching. One of my customers just picked one up back east for a really good price, likely was sitting at the dealership for a couple years. As for the ins and outs of the saw, all I can say is dude, why don’t you got to an Echo dealer and ask about a demo, some of them will sign out a demo saw…take the time to get them to go thru the saw with you…if you’re familiar with the “$1200” Husky 372 then you’ll see the differences. I like the feel of the 7310 way better than the 372, especially the X-torq…the 7310 is narrow and feels like a way better balance and weight distribution. The components are top notch and a 5 year consumer warranty as I’ve explained in my vids…this is my honest opinion…I’m not making any money from Echo or KZbin. …as for the 044…I’ve got 4 slant fin 044’s in my shop that one day I’ll get around to rebuilding…if you’re using one everyday you’d appreciate what a real anti-vib the Echo 7310 and Husky 372 offer, compared to the 044. I was a faller for years running an 066 mostly and I can tell you the anti-vib makes a huge difference if you’re doing it full time…if you want to just poke holes at my posted videos, there’s a solution for that too.

Nice that'll sound a lot better than just drilling a hole in the top right behind the baffle tube like most guys do. I kinda half assed the muffler mod on my 590 last week, I dont want it to be too loud. I can always go at it again and copy what you did here. I drilled/reamed the holes in the baffle plate in the middle of the can out with a 10mm bit, they're now a 10mm slot and bigger than the tube they feed. Then I put two 5mm holes right in front of the baffle tube on the top (front side so they point back into the deflector) plus did the usual removing of the inner deflector. It's loud at idle but not much louder then stock when revving because the baffles are still in it.
