You can play anyone in this. Some of yall never witnessed true bottom tier in fighting game and it shows. Asuka is fine keep playing her, Yes shes defensive character you got to get good at the game

Reversals are very easy to nullify at this level, and every wrong reversal gets you grabbed or worse, launched. Not worth given how little damage you gain.

@ not true. Once you learn your opponent’s Patterns you can use it to throw off the tempo of the other fighter. It helps with super aggressive characters that do a lot of standing punches and kicks to start mixups

@ I do reversals and parry’s all the time. I switch my play style depending on who I’m fighting but I feel comfortable adding offensive pressure. I only hang back and use defense as my main strategy when I verse an opponent that waits for opportunities. The little damage goes a long way especially when the clocks ticking.

@@CobraSpy97 You're only getting away with it because you ain't getting launched for it. Reversals are only done on a read. It's the same as ducking. You do that at the wrong time and you're toast. You don't gamba half your HP for a single f3+4 followup, especially against a feng who's doing lows and backsways fifty times every round. You don't throw reversals because "hey statistically it covers 70% of his movelist so what the heck". You will not see reversals at this level of play for a reason.

@@Diandredofus I’ll take my chances, I don’t mind useing that punish on 70% of his moves. It’s psychologically damaging too. They think twice about certain moves and try to feint attacks which opens new opportunities for attacks. Telling you man, it’s one of the top techniques you’re missing out on. Ok it doesn’t do much damage but the way I see it, damage is damage and if you play defensively and keep reversing then the clock becomes your friend.
