Knee was a slow starter when tk7 came out as well. He has definitely been progressing a lot. At the beginning of tk8 he wasn’t even able to get into top 8 in atl for like 3 months. Here and In EWC too he lost to Ulsan by 1 round diff they were all very close. And he’s been getting into top8 very often these days.

There is a reason why players like Knee and Arslan are slow starters. They don't rely on pressing buttons and play Casino Royale. Their main focus always is to build muscle memory for every move and play reactive game. Once it's done, you will see these players on top again, same as Tekken 7.

This is good Tekken. It's nice to see knee progressing in Tekken 8. He didn't make it to top 8 in previous tournaments... N jon is also making good progress. He ends up in top 8 almost every tournament ❤

Didn't Arslan's Nina win against Atif Drag? Maybe just knee can't adapt to the style of tekken 8 and still be in that defensive look for openings style

Knee won the first set all through pokes without heat when John adjusted to the pokes the game changed. Knee is very allergic to using heat when he'll figure out how to use the heat correctly he'll start to win again a forever champ.

Knee wasnt dominant when T7 launched either. Its too soon to count out Knee from T8 yet, especially with more characters and changes in the future

@@MoriKAshi But Knee had already started declining at the end of Tekken 7, after his Evo win. During the last year or so of T7 he was already struggling against Ulsan and Lowhigh, and didn't make it far in the TWT.

@@danielsacilotto3196 I mean sure, but the Tekken meta was pretty much established at that point. Its just the beginning for T8. However, I definitely don't think we'll see the Knee of old, but there could be a Qudans-esque run down the line.

@@MoriKAshi Don't get me wrong, Knee is perfectly capable of beating anyone in the world at any point. He recently beat Ulsan in tournament, who went on to 5-0 Atif. Unfortunately, while Knee has begun to adapt to T8 much better, being aggressive from the getgo, he still has a tendency to revert to his defensive turtle mode when he's gotten an advantage. Very regularly what we are seeing is him winning the beginning of a match pretty handily only for the tide to turn. The other issue is that, until further patches, it's going to be rough to be consistently victorious with Bryan when there's braindead characters like Drag, Alisa, Nina, Yoshi, Shaheen, Victor, JIn and King. His Feng is good, but he seems committed to the Bryan. I just hope he can qualify for the TWT finals. And hopefully some big nerfs come to the characters I mentioned.
