Very nice setup bro! That’s a huge amount of truss and a massive structure. Lighting was nice, would have been nice with haze if the venue let you run it. 2 points I’ll share because I think it’ll really finish off the look. 1. DJ Booth - even if its a facade at this point, you put so much work into the structure, the your current DJ booth does not do it justice. 2. Truss Covers - They’re expensive IMO, but totally changes the feel and takes away that industrial look from your setup. Try it, and you’ll see the difference. Keep it up and I look forward to seeing more content from you. And I really like your style of video editing.

Just an advise. Try to install the power and signal cables over the structure bins instead hangging.

Whats up bro! Very nice and clean setup, and a huge truss! I thought I was the only one in the wedding industry to do large setups, but Im happy to come across your channel. Subbed! And I’m so glad you ran haze! It needed it 100% with that venue and setup. You got the lighting nicely projected where it needed to be. The only thing I would add are some moving head washes, once you add them, you’ll see the difference they can make. I have a lot of gig logs too (temporarly had to take them down, but they’ll be back up soon). What lighting controller do you use? I currently use the WMX1 but I may be looking at something more capable to handle my large events. I think you understood the assignment very well. You had the lighting moving to match the music playing at the time in terms of color and speed of movement, most DJs dont understand this basic lighting protocol. Once again, well done and keep up those high standards!

Awesome job as always! Question, which chain hoists and slings do you use? Does TX require your guys to be rigging certiflied?
@DJFiezta
@DJFiezta 13 күн бұрын
@@michaelvillanueva6862 we use prox manual 1t hoists. They didn’t require me to be rigging certified, but I reached out to a friend in the industry who is certified to help out and supervise us while we flew the structure. Another fantastic set up with great choice of gear - they just keep getting better. I will make two comments - 1. Don’t have your guys working off flight cases - if they fall off then you will be responsible - it’s not a good look for your company. Also while the two people are spotting the cases they are not doing productive work which is costing you money - use a proper work platform to be productive and stay safe. 2. It’s a great setup but somehow the DJ booth does not match the great look and looks a bit out of place My comments are meant to be constructive as I think you’re doing a great job and it’s great to see your company growing.

This set up is sick, if I had the money and man power to set this up every show that my band had I definitely would. It's really sick and more people/bands will hire you if they don't mind paying for good quality production.

When I linked two lights together, the second light cannot be controlled independently of the first, They are 18 channel fixtures. I set the first fixture to channel one and the 2nd to 19. That didn’t work. I tried all channels going up from 19 to 30. It doesn’t work. If I said set it back to channel one it works. It’s not the cable coming out of the DMX controller if I plug that directly into the second fixture it works. How did you control the individual fixtures Independently, please? I’m just using a standard slider DMX controller. Thank you.

Make sure that the moving heads are in the correct channel amount mode. Many moving heads have a separate mode so that you can switch it to a lesser amount of channels, obviously this mode has less functions. Make sure your 18 address moving head fixture isn't in (e.g. 16 address mode). If they are in the correct mode then you need to make sure you are sending DMX signal to address 1 and to address 19 so that when you are not using the first light you can control the second light from address 19 and onwards.

Nice setup. It's just a shame that the sound guy doesn't know that wide coverage top boxes should never be splayed side by side like that. It causes phase problems that can ruin clarity and make things sound unnatural. But, oh well.

ADJ MyDMX 3.0 software engineer here: A huge tip to significantly reduce your scene counts for anyone wanting to learn a workaround way to programing in 3.0. You can have your strobe with one scene & group, and then combine with any color you want live + more. All you have to do is program your strobe scene with all the fixtures shutters on strobe, or in the effects tab you can use the waveform effect for the dimmer channels with a sawtooth pattern if the fixture doesn’t have a shutter channel. Make sure all other channels are set to “OFF” Then in your colors scenes, you set all your fixtures colors, and make sure all other channels are set to “OFF”. Then to turn on certain fixtures or all fixtures, or even dimmer effects, you have another group for your dimmer scenes controlling the dimmer channel and all other channels must be set to “OFF”. Same would go for moving head movement scenes, gobo scenes, etc. The beauty is, they stack in live mode (as long as they are in different groups) and have overrides. You can also utilize the release setting in the edit tab next to your timeline. Example: dimmer scene (all fixtures on), color scene (red) - you can now hit a strobe scene and your dimmer and color will still be set, but now you have strobing and could also change the color in real time due to in-group overriding. Once you deactivate the strobe scene, it goes back to all fixtures on (solid) with the color you still have selected. Scenes override other scenes even in other groups in ORDER from start to finish (usually). This allows you to have potentially X color scenes, X dimmer scenes, and only 1 strobe scene ((or more depending if you want different strobe types (sync strobe or phased strobe)) Now you don’t have to have a strobe scene for every color, plus all the color scenes on top. Think of groups as individualizing channels for your fixtures. I hope this helps everyone with making programing simpler! ((Also, if you ever have a scene not behaving properly, make sure in the scene (dimmer for example), ALL FIXTURES only have the dimmer channel set to “ON”, and the rest set to “OFF”.)) This method allows you to become extremely creative and free.

This is what I’ve been wondering about. Man if you did a video explaining this it would be soooooo helpful. For example I’m trying to make 3 groups for my Maverick Mk Pyxis. First group for color combo, second group for shutter and dimmer intensity, like strobing or pulsing. And 3rd group for movement. I just didn’t know how to do it right without overriding each other. So essentially just make sure channels that don’t belong to that group should be off right? Only channels that are on will override ? And it goes from group left to right that overrides? Sorry if that doesn’t make sense
@LDProOSU
@LDProOSU 5 ай бұрын
@@catarinooviedo9794you are exactly correct. Have your three groups, within those groups make sure the channel you want to control is on and ensure all other channels are OFF on all fixtures. Overrides typically go left to right in the groups, but I believe this is a once in a while bug. Real overrides obviously happen within the same group while clicking different scenes. If you want to utilize the “release” tool in the edit/steps tab, it can be useful also, but a bit tricky to master. I may make a video soon!
