Very inspiring - running and documenting my own different type of iron man this year. Tore my ACL in Sep, surgery in Nov. almost 2 months recovery checked off. Consistency is key.

Just watched a couple of your videos, +1 subscriber. I can’t speak on your experience, but you’re putting in the work. Great to see! what is your biggest motivation?
@offbrandjesseАй бұрын
@ biggest motivation for specifically my injury; the thought of being better than I was when I get back. More footy, more goals, more celebrations, and constantly uplifting my team more than I ever did before. In general; I’m not proud of what I’ve accomplished in life so far. I can say I’m a good friend, but I’m not a good influence. I want to become a character of value that can inspire others. I appreciate the sub and I’m looking forward to watching your journey. The depths of your struggles determine the peaks of your success. Keep pushin

Thank you for this video. I’m going through something similar right now-not running a race like Iron Man, but something that feels just as challenging to me. Studying, reading, and writing have always been tough for me, and finishing my degree and writing my thesis has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life. It feels like I’ve had to confront my worst nightmare. In the beginning, it was incredibly difficult to even write two lines, but now it’s getting easier to keep going. This whole process has taught me that the cost of becoming better is facing discomfort and overcoming challenges.

Thanks for sharing Arthur! I love hearing these stories, good luck to you and congrats on writing your thesis. I am sure it wasn't easy but you learned a lot from it.

Impressive to see you keep up the routine during the off-season. IRONMAN training takes up so much time out of your day-to-day, becoming an identity in a way that once the race is over, it leaves a big gap for some people. After Lake Placid this year, we struggled with reducing our workout volume and loosening up the diet without feeling guilty. But it's important to let your body recover and enjoy the time off. Keep on grinding and you'll definitely qualify for WC. Also, that closet indoor bike setup is wild haha.

Appreciate the support! I 100% agree with and relate to what you're saying. I was the same after completing Penticton as well. Taking some time off to recover physically/mentally is important, however, and I've only just a couple months after race day begun to get back into a routine. Appreciate your kind words, and all the best to you and your next training block!
