I had lots of brett in the Clos St Jean Deus Ex Machina 2015 CdP. Loved it. I hope to come by a bottle of Beaucastel... some day :)

I didn't really understand what you meant with the small and big glasses in relation to the alcohol content. Is a small glass better because it let's you sniff the alcohol easier, or is it better because you get less of a whiff of alcohol?

Thanks for promoting Sherry. I am afraid Tirso is not right yet. Following the official figures of the Consejo Regulador from 2015, the Spanish market is still a bit bigger, but it might happen soon if you keep making videos like this one :)

Wine is a waste of time! And tasting/swirling wine is the most ridiculous ritual invented by mankind. I laugh at you and your channel. I laugh not out of ignorance... mind you. I spend a lot of time on food and food tasting... and alcohol BASICALLY TASTES BAD. Why be a hypocrite and say "this or that wine is good?"

You clearly have a sour life and have little to faint idea on appreciating the finer things in life.
@RoronoaDeep8 жыл бұрын
Andrew Lee Sorry... my life is simple... not sour. My tastebuds prefer whole real flavours in real food instead of painstakingly looking for traces of "nut, oak, fruityness, tobacco, tar...." and whatever nonsense flavours in wine. I waste my money on food and drinks, alright... and its much more gratifying than wine and all its associated snobbery. And I love grape juice.

Deep Ramdin As much as there are people who likes to read, there are people who looks at is a dull thing to do. To each his own, they say. And as much as there are people who are wine snob. There are also people who drink wine, or shall I say taste, not because of how it taste like, but how to appreciate it knowing the process and the efforts how it is made.

dude just because you dont like alcohol doesnt mean others cant enjoy it. I dont drink myself either, but that doesnt mean I go around yelling ignorant shit at people who do happen to be lucky enough to enjoy wine

One of my favorite German white wines is not really a white wine at all. It's a blanc de noirs made from Cabernet Sauvignon by Anselmann (also from the Pfalz). Anselmann is a bit of a weird weinmaker. They seem to do a really large variety of different wines from so many different obscure grapes that it makes me wonder if they concentrate too much on variety rather than quality. Also their wines are really quite cheap. But this Cab Sauv blanc de noir is so amazingly different, delicious and exceptionally fruity without being sweet. And it costs less than EUR 5 in Germany! It's probably the best value wine I have ever encountered. And even without regarding the good value, it's still one of my favorite whites.

Awesome! A while ago I drank a wine with these aromas, like leather, a total barn, but actually I really liked it, the taste was amazing! Unfortunately I never knew the name of the wine, just was able to find out that it was a "Biodinamic" wine (I don't know if that term is righ in english, wines similar to organic but with some extra hippie care). Thank you very much now I understand a lot better that wine!

Indeed, the name of our grandfather was Walter Baer (engl. "bear") and one night in a wine bar somewhen in the early 30s of the last century after some glasses of crisp Pfalz Riesling, his friend and artist Otto Dill draw this bear for him on a simple postcard. The bear has a human touch and we thought he might suit well on the label. Thanks for this most professional and enthousiastic presentation of our both wines, hope you like the others too!
