Thank you !! Now I can add some meatless dishes to my Asian dinner menu. I love tofu , but haven’t try the Tubular Tofu. Next time I visit the Asian grocery store, will pick up some.

Hi everyone can someone tell me whats shortining actually is and where can i get it?
@TasteofAsianFood
@TasteofAsianFood 14 күн бұрын
Shortening, made from vegetable oils, is a solid alternative to butter and margarine in baking and dessert making. Unlike butter, it doesn’t melt at room temperature, making it easier to work with. Its pale yellow color also results in a less yellowish appearance for Char Siu Bao compared to butter's brighter yellow.

I think Debal's Curry started as a mild curry made with Christmas leftovers. Later, due to local taste, the chillies were incresed, and it was good. Then chilli padi, were used and it was even more _shiok._ And "the more the better", that version became Devil's Curry. Its better to enjoy the dish, than to meet the challenge.
