I purchased a new 2024 Super Duty back in May. 6.8 gas with the 10R100. First, I will say that it shifts great. It goes from one gear to the next very smoothly. But, almost immediately after purchase, I noticed that in certain gears it does have that clunking noise. In every gear from 4th thru 8th gear. If I'm driving as a consistent speed and I take my foot off the gas pedal to coast for a moment, then put my foot back on the gas, it does that clunky pop and jerk. Sometimes its slight, sometimes it a hard pop and jerk. The impression that I get is that it feels like there's too much slop or slack in the drive line somewhere. I've taken it to Ford 3 times, and they swear that there's nothing mechanically wrong with the transmission. That it's all just programming issue. However, they've ran program updates on it 3 times and it's still doing the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this same issue out of your trucks? Has there been an effective fix for this issue?

Just picked up my 2019 expedition from the dealer. Transmission rebuild was done. 75,000 miles on it. Cam phasers replaced a month ago. Extended warranty covered everything.

Our 2018 f150 is currently getting transmission replaced by ford. Thank god we had the extended warranty. The rebuilt one they are putting in has 3yr warranty on it so definitely trading it in before that 3 yr is up cause we don’t trust it won’t go out again

Did you buy from an Asheville NC dealer? Also can I ask what kind of deal you got? How much over did you get for your trade & what was the price you got for the Raptor?

@@davidglover3380 I did it was actually flow automotive Porsche so it was a used raptor. I traded in my 2019 F-150 with 77k miles on it for 24k and bought the raptor for 80 out the door.

@ yeah I know plenty of people would have negative opinions on trading in a perfectly good truck just to spend more money but I thought it was a great deal for the upgrade that was being made

Just had mine done at the dealer. They told me there was a recall because of the trans issue. It has been 2 months since the new program. 98% better. Every once in a while, on the upshift to third or fifth gear. The other puzzling thing is my mpg lost 2 mpg. Mine is the 2020-2.7 Lariat. Reply

Honestly a very fair point. After I sold my base model WRX and bought my Toyota Supra, I was introduced to up to date technology in cars. I guess we can chalk it up to ignorance is bliss haha

Keep in mind this is a 2019 XLT. With that being said, really everything: power seats, heated/cooled seats, 360 cam, adaptive cruise control, bed lighting, etc. I know this is all subjective as far as what is necessary and what is not but that's what I am looking for.

I have a 2019 transmission has clunker when cold morso from t 7:36 hird to forth and six to seventh took took deale twice said can't do anything they checked oil level and that's it got 82k on it now past warranty

They are NOT GONNA RECALL This POS John! I own a 22 F-150 and they replaced my Tranny at 4500 Miles (in the SHOP for over THREE WEEKS)??? for an Internal Noise and Shift quality Issues (This is a LONG STORY) Johnny. However I won't dwell on it, The new Tranny Is doing the Same thing a 6K Miles, and it has been back because it PUKED OUT TRANNY FLUID all over the undercarriage, Now at 9K Miles, (Another LONG STORY), Basically Over Filled the NEW TRANNY at Install and they REFUSED to Admit to it???? There are GOOD FIXES out there that actually FIX this 10R80, but Fo Mo Co Refuses to Implement them into the NEWER TRANNIES, Valve Bodies, Pumps, and Torque Converters, and the EVER So FAMOUS "SLIPPED BUSHING" in the CDF Drum that causes a Bunch of stuff to Happen within this 10R80..... NextGen Has this 10R80 FIXED (go to there Web Site). They have a KZbin Channel but aren't at this Time doing any 10R80 Videos (they would be LENGTHY) for sure. Also Johnny, I think the 10R80's first came out in 2017 if I'am not Mistaken. I'll be Taking mine Back "AGAIN" next year and ask them to FIX it Or Replace the Entire Tranny "AGAIN"???? We'll see what the decide to do. I Absolutely HATE that my BRAND NEW TRUCK has already been Dismantled and Put back together and STILL Has the Very Same Issue as before???? Unacceptable, and Un Professional, and FORD Know's it!!! RECALL???? I ain't so sure. GM Has the Same Tranny..... and the Same Issues!!!! 🥴🤬🥵😳....???? Un Real!!! That’s wild, 😂 I wish Ford would do a recall. I work for a major Fleet company and we have had 6R80’s in our Transits last 750k miles with good service and the best Fluids(Amsoil) but these 10R80’s I can’t get more then 175k miles with good service and again the best best fluids. I manage a Fleet of about 600 Transits with both the 6 and 10 speed, by far the 6 speed is tougher and more forgiving. I think there’s an issue with the 20-24 10R80’s as far as a material and software standpoint. Ford Please Help Us……

I have a 2018 Mustang 5.0 with the 10R80 and have not had any problems with 60K miles on it. There will never be a recall as it would cost Ford too much. As someone mentioned the government can not force a recall unless it is due to a safety issue. I think a class action lawsuit would be the only remedy but I do not think the problem rises to this level.

My 20 f150 with 29k miles is getting a new transmission right now , I tow a small travel trailer 5 times a year weighs 6k lbs . They told Mr yesterday it’s a new transmission that has updated valve body parts and updated internals. Should I sell it’s running good and low miles ? Problem is gm is having 10 speed issues also, only one left is ram , ughhh

@@akaixl83 to be honest I think if they fix it with updated parts you should be good. As tempting as it is to slide to another platform, you are still running the risk of other issues those particular makes/models experience. Just my opinion

Ram has plenty of problems of there own, v8s with lifters and camshafts that ruin the ENGINES, GM with the same transmission problems, and lifters on the v8 engine, Toyota's new v6 engine is junk! There's nothing safe to buy! Better off just finding an old classic Chevy, Ford or Dodge and restore it!

@@danialx6171 so the headlights come with LED bulbs that are fine if you are just looking for an LED conversion. I have not yet changed out the bulbs but that is on my list of things to do as I would like for them to be a little bit brighter. Hopefully that helps!

In December of 2023 my 2018 F150 started slipping and skipping gears. Luckily I bought the extended warranty. Got the transmission replaced, note they don’t put in a brand new transmission they put in a refurbished one with all new internals from what they claim. 3 weeks ago my replacement transmission started slipping again. Brought the truck back in last week and they told me it needs to be replaced and it hasn’t even been a year with this replacement. They stated the CDF was updated and If it was then what cause the 2nd failure? A bit frustrating.

The other video showing install of these same lip spoiler shows a much tighter fitment against the factory bumper. Those gaps on your lip is crazy big.
