@@stickynuggz9496 well if you ever find yourself in Greenville SC I'd love to put that theory to the test!

I’ve driven both and own a 2023 A91 6MT. I work too much and have 2 kids under 7 years old and there is no way I have time for track days or live anywhere near a track. I went with the 6MT because it makes me smile every time I hop in it and shift gears. Takes me back to simpler days prior. 6MT is fun as a weekend or fun car, but as a pure daily and hitting a lot of traffic, I would go A/T all day long.

@@chrisginoc i think that is a great outlook on the decision making process. It's all about what "mission" do you have with the car. You are correct there is no better feeling then hopping in a 6MT and banging through gears or hitting those perfect heel toe down shifts

I first learn how to drive with a manual “my mom’s 97 civic” back in 2005 I was 16 i ended up with the vehicle it was like driving a bike once you learn you can’t forget. What I miss is the fun and connection with the manual and the car, but now with these new automatics shifting faster then a human with virtually no mistakes. My biggest issue with automatics was that you can’t jump speeds but now you’re able to do that with some of these automatics. I’m dropping this comment because I’m stuck between the two and I live in Los Angeles county notorious for traffic…it’s not going to be my daily I’m kinda leaning on the automatic side. So far I want to take it on the track and if it’s better on the turns and over all, then I’m going automatic.

"Could've used the M3 transmission" - and they kinda did. Next gen M3 came out with torque converter 8-speed. What must've happened is BMW knew they were moving away from dual-clutch to torque-converter, and they started that with this car.

Manuals will forever have my heart as I can speak for many car enthusiasts that either want/own/owned a manual. It just keeps you engaged in your drive more and it gives you that sense that you're a racecar driver or in those fast and furious movies. As corny as it sounds it really is true. I got my license on a manual and I still 5 years later dream about that car, let alone, driving another manual.

@@WhatMyUsername I completely agree I will buy another manual car soon buttttt this particular platform shines with an auto

Can you drive the Supra over 85mph without voiding the warranty? I know this sounds like a sarcastic joke, but I'm asking seriously.
@GearBocksАй бұрын
@@SpeedDemonExpress to be honest I have no clue since I haven't heard this before. All I know is I would have already voided the warranty with multiple other mods so going over 85 is the least of my worries hahahah

I had a '20 auto and now a '24 manual. Anyone who says the auto is more fun than the manual is lying. Either hating because they couldn't or didn't get the manual or simply don't know how to drive a manual. Just remove the clutch delay valve (CDV) and it makes a world of difference. Yes, the auto is quicker but not even an auto can help offset a dumb driver. For the record I was a hardcore drag racer and had one of the quickest/fastest manual Corvette C6s around my area mod for mod.

@@velr50gt I could definitely see that. I absolutely love driving manual but I do really enjoy having the MK5 in auto. I will say it was exhausting trying to find a manual in my area so part of it was "settling" and could 100% see myself upgrading to a manual at some point but for the time being, I love it

@@GearBocks Thank you for being honest. I was a manual fan for many years and refused to get anything auto, until the new 7-10 speed transmissions came onboard. They do help immensely in vehicle acceleration. I also had a '23 Mustang GT A10 and only enjoyed it while going WOT, other than that it wasn't very fun. They A8 Supra is definitely more fun but the ZF8 is a better transmission that the 10R80 anyways.

"Have to pair up with a BMW transmission" - WRONG. They did NOT "HAVE TO" nor actually "DID THEY". This a ZF transmission. BMW is but one of the many companies that are using ZF services.
