I'm in my 70s and white, I grew up in Maryland around DC, and northeastern PA, a little town outside Allentown. The town was the most racist I ever had the misfortune of living in, I moved when I turned 16. The town, literally had two sides of a "track" or main street, and if your first language was not English, you lived on one side and could not buy a house on the other side. And forget about being black and living there. By the way, this town was in a periodical magazine many years ago, as one of the 50 dirtiest towns in America because of two factories on the outskirts of the town. Once those factories closed, the town pretty much shut down, but there is a ski resort there now, in the outskirts.

I lived in Arkansas and Harrison was well known for its racism. It’s located Just south of the Missouri border. I believe it was in the late 80’s when the klan adopted the hiway between the MO border and Harrison. This meant that people coming in to Arkansas would be greeted by a sign saying this hiway has been adopted by the ku klux klan. Legal action was pointless, freedom of speech. A solution was found when Arkansas renamed the hiway the Martin Luther King Jr. Highway. I was quite proud of my state.

I moved here from Chicago 1 year ago. It’s very humid hot here. There is nothing here. It’s all farm land, nothing fun to do here. Barely any culture, rude people, crazy drivers, expensive car insurance. Trust me don’t move it Texas u will regret it. I moved here w my fiancé and I am heading back to Chicago. It’s way more fun more culture, nature, and way better public transportation. In Huston. U will have to drive everywhere. You wont have any fu here. Stay away from Huston, Texas. It’s very boring place and things are all far. I rather take my wife yet snow at least I can walk and enjoy life still in cold.
