I saw this at the theatre and couldnt recommend more highly especially as the TV interpretation is totally ruined by the woke brigade. Saw an interview with the producer claiming that the only thing that wasn't accurate about the TV films portrayal of 1536 was the use of fake beaver skins instead of real ones. What about all the actors in it of African heritage - guards , lords, ladies in waiting etc? England in 1536 wasn't a diverse multicultural community. Im sure the woke brigade will condescendingly say my ignorance is just because I don't understand that anyone of any colour can play any part. So why not have a more diverse range of actors working in the fields in the film '10 years a slave' or in the ranks of the black regiment in 'Glory ' or represented amongst the tribesman in the film 'Zulu' ?

I am honestly struggling with this version. The cast is talented, no doubt. I'm just not sure if I agree with the Direction.

I didn't have a clue what to expect from this production; I didn't see any trailers and knew nothing about the story other than the names. Yet, I'm so pleased I gave it a shot! Fabulous music, amazing voices and stunning talent throughout. We loved it so much, we returned to nights later! Definitely give it a go, you may be pleasantly surprised
