Hey man, so I followed your instructions and applied the patch correctly, but when I start Undercover and complete the tutorial (Garage), the game boots me back to the menu instead of going to the motel in Miami. I tried multiple times, and I still get the same result. Even saving after completing the tutorial gives me the same thing. Did I do something wrong?

I've always hoped someone would take the additions from the PC version and put them into the PSX version. While I do like the PC version, the PlayStation version always remained the better version to me. This hack would make it perfect. Thanks so much for doing this! 👍👍

Great romhack, it corrects more than I had known in the game, although I've found a possible error after making some saved games compatible with this version (from some San Francisco missions, normal saved games from the normal version put the game in previous versions in the pcfied version): after completing "The accident", the next mission becomes "Luther's heap o' junk" instead of "Take a cab".

1:51:08 I'm certain it might be the same on both versions, but if you don't follow the NY missions in order it will default to the neutral ending with the jeep on the freeway. Perhaps this is why the credits don't play but I can't confirm 🤔

3:08 I checked and no, the scene continues a few seconds with the seller saying there's holes everywhere and repeating that McKenzie wants him out. Then Tanner says "Keep the change" and leaves.

Yeah the president's run in hard is so unfair, that's beacause they have more resistance and a little more speed. But to be honest And im not liying, I completed this mission in hard, how i did? I don't know but just 1 time only 1 time i completed this unfair mission on hard.

The graphic quality of this game is very good, it is not possible for this to be played on the PSX emulator

Driver 1 is more harder than driver 2, you know the reasons. But can you complete driver 1 in expert difficult? I said this for the difficult modifier code.

I replayed through D1 US version on Duckstation just last week for all the retro achievements, and Tanner vs Slater didn't break on me, this is weird. I would assume it's either some of your overclocking settings, or maybe a cheat messing with it maybe About weird car damage models: yeah, most LA vehicles and some NY iirc shrink when they become damage, but you should take a look at the damaged version of the cop car in NY, the entire model is shifted down, which makes the car become lower to the ground, with high windows lol Also, @28:10 alternatively, you can do a "release" much like Gran Turismo 2's modding, via a patch. We use Delta Patcher to create a patch that gets aplied to an iso. you only need to provide the patch, and the user their own version of the game. Only downside is that your patch will only work with your version of the game, because it's comparing data. So if you worked on the US release, then the user will need to provide the US release to be patched. NY trafic *sucks*. They don't stop at intersactions, merely slow down. They lane split every 5 secs, and they turn randomly. It was such a pain to deal with them...

The music bug caused extremely low pitched notes to be played really high pitched. Having been subjected tot he bug for so long, hearing the fixed versions doesn't sound right to me hah

Looks like the president run version of pc seems a bit easier or if not, much easier than the ps1 version. I noticed that in this video, the car seems less slippier? Maybe it's the overall physics or the weathery road doesn't really affects the driving in pc version? And the cops also looks less aggresive compared to ps1 equivalent, probably on par with redriver 2 kaizo easy or medium difficulty. And I just completed president run yesterday on ps1 version and it took 40 minutes with a bit of swearing lol. And the L1 button really helped a lot, and it would be longer if I didn't know about that.

I forget if the Cruise Control "cheat" works on PC, but if it does, you could've abused it in the President's Run to prevent the cops from catching up to you in the straights, especially when they push you to 100 heh

These broken missions, mechanics, and SFX solidifies my thought that the PS1 version is definitely the best way to play this game... There's very little the PC version does better than the PS1 one does.

This game sucks due to the controls alone. I had flash backs of all the bad ps one games when I saw the video 😂. They never programmed multiple direction keys with most games and analog sticks weren't a popular thing yet.

I said this version is better than the ps1 but the difficult is more easier, and the music is not what we remember but forgot that, the graphics are good and this have so much differences with the ps1 version.

Music in the umodified PC version was played from the CD, this feature was broken on Windows Vista and never and crashed the game after a few minutes of playing I am also unable to make it work on PC with natively installed Windows 2000, perhaps because I use a USB CD drive, so thanks for letting me know about the repack 🙃
