I was at this show. I remember - OK, "remember" is not quite the correct verb - there's a sort of a foggy aural image I have, of a song Levon did that had a riff or groove somewhat similar to Talking Head's "Life During Wartime". Keep in mind, this was 44 years ago, and was the last time I did Acid. Just wondering....

Loved aged 13 still love at 57 he had a great cool attitude.great songwriter and fantastic beats and rhythm
Red Rocks is the perfect venue, except for the idiot crowds. Usually, it's a big tough guy with his drunk girlfriend. Not much you can do with that.

This was the music I would skateboard to in 78-79. It sounds better now than ever. I'm 59 and have not listen to this in over 30 years. It's now on my playlist forever.

Best songwriter the uk ever produced and the most underrated too. His words are so close to what actually happened in the world and the musicians we're as good as any. JJ the best

Great show. Really fine renditions of some of the best tunes. To concert attendees who like to make a lot of noise, especially those of you apparently think it's fine to sound off continuously: microphones are SENSITIVE just like the ears of your fellow listeners, so IF YOU WANT TO TALK instead of listening to the music, maybe you could GO THE HELL OUTSIDE because you are pissing a lot of people off, I promise you that. When the bandleader has to politely ask you to shut up, that is just over the top.

I was at his Red Rocks show in '87 (I think) Big World Tour. Fantastic show. First time seeing him Live. H estopped his performance that show too for cheering too much.

I will never understand the idiot majority who go to live concerts to hear *themselves* essentially verbally fling poo & drown out the music. Nonetheless, thanks for this. This is the One Tour of Joe's it seems impossible to find any recordings of & it's one of my favorite live bands of his.

@@htaylor2004 Well now I'm going to picture you hanging from a tree with clunky recording equipment that can't have gone unnoticed because that's simply how my mind works. A lifetime of watching cartoons does that to a person.

Unbelievable! I was at this show, and many more. So amazing. After the early show I would get in line to see the second show. The energy in this place was awesome. When I saw with my own eyes Mark O keep up with Steve on guitar I was floored. The whole band rides on the very tip of the front of the beat. So energizing and intense. Thanks for sharing this!
