At a Dregs show in the 80's you just knew that at that given moment, there was no better place in the world to be!

Unbelievable! I was at this show, and many more. So amazing. After the early show I would get in line to see the second show. The energy in this place was awesome. When I saw with my own eyes Mark O keep up with Steve on guitar I was floored. The whole band rides on the very tip of the front of the beat. So energizing and intense. Thanks for sharing this!

Great gig, GREAT sound quality. This is in my stomping grounds on Long Island, was too young to see this show but saw them in 2018 at the Paramount theatre in Huntington (LI) NY

I saw a lot of great shows at My Father's Place, left New York for Tahoe in 79. I caught this show at the Pioneer Theater in Reno, NV. With the great Mark O’Conner on violin. I personally like Jerry Goodman’s melodies more, but when Mark played guitar with Steve it was astounding. I recal this show opening with each band member being ‘solo’d’ in a spotlight as the each added their parts to the tune, some of the most effective lighting I’ve seen. Great show.

Thanks so much for posting this @htaylor2004 ! I've been waiting for this WLIR broadcast to surface for years now, since having it on a cassette tape for years before that. The extended Morse solo ( 56:19 ) during "Cruise Control" Is the best I've ever heard recorded and is totally representative ( complete with all the "extras") of what I used to see Steve do in person back in the day at little clubs like "My Father's Place", "The Bottom Line", and "The Lone Star Cafe"
