What starter did you use?

How thick is the bellhousing to torque tube adapter on the outside of the bellhousing. Im trying to figure out how much in meed to machine my adapter down.

Do you know the thickness of the bellhousing adapter plate where they bolt together? The one i have is .600" thick. Looks like where the adapter bolts to the bellhousing is .250" thinner to compensate for the .250" spacer in-between the block and bellhousing.

How was the bellhousing modified? Other than the holes for the hydraulic lines, what needs done?

What oil pan did you use?

That ITC valley cover is the biggest waste of money imaginable. It "makes the engine look pretty"until you put on the intake, throttle body and water pump, then you'll never see it again. ITC billet makes good parts, but this isn't one of them.

I own a 77 924 with a cookie cutter k swap bmw trans, its pretty gnarly and takes a beating.

Sadly it's not the first Kswap 924 to ever exist but it is on a list of about 3. I will say that the high Revs of the K24 will definitely be a problem for the gear ratios and overall design of the 944 trans and torque tube. Especially on a NA setup. Nice build and don't give up on it, then you'd wind up on a pretty long list haha.

WOW, YOU GUYS GOT AN OLD 924!!! I LOVE THEM! When you do you swap, remember that the 2.0 924's have a 20 cm drive shaft. Not a 25 cm driveshaft like your 944. The 924 chassis can't take all the power that the 944 can. But it can easily take 2 or 3 times the power of the original engine. This should be great!
