I think it’s hit or miss with the break-in period. I ran 200+ Blazer Brass 124g with zero malfunctions and without adding lube when I first shot my CR920XP. Only thing I had done was rack the slide maybe, 50+ times, as I did read where it could help with the break-in.
@TacOut5 сағат бұрын
I had the same thought. I only have a sample size of 1 so i'm sure many others in the wild do not have the same experience. I racked the slide a few hundred times before i made it to the range because the spring is so heavy. It seems to run all other ammo pretty well. After I made the video, I continued testing. I tried 124gn S&B which ran with no issues. Then i tried PMC 115gn, and that ran with no issues. Now i'm thinking it might be an issue with my lot of PMC 124gn. and not the gun at at all, at this point.

Great advice, I actually took the fact that I live in a duty to retreat state into consideration when I opted for hammer fire over striker fire (controversial opinion I know). My rationale was definitely me overthinking this stuff, but I still took it into consideration. And omg safety! I see so many irresponsible gun owners out there! I genuinely feel like before a person buys a gun the dealer should have to sit down with them and have a safety talk first, and if that person comes back into the gun shop and does something unsafe with their gun, like pulled out and drop the mag but forget to check the chamber, the gun owner should have the right to confiscate that gun then in there and resell it, no refunds.

Awesome demo man, this is what was lacking from the initial marketing. People trash on this thing for not performing like their $3000 counterparts, but man for casual use, a functional LAM out to a few hundred yards that runs you under $500? These things are only going to get better in the coming years. Very exciting stuff. Great video man, thank you for helping to inform buyers better than VWS did
@TacOut6 күн бұрын
Appreciate it man. I agree with you totally. This is an untapped market, to my knowledge. I don't know of anyone else doing R&D to enhance distance illumination functionality on budget laser options for people who want to get into night vision without breaking the bank.
@svenskaskene1996 күн бұрын
Have the same set up, the focusing cap produces an off center sloppy image and it’s not worth the ridiculous price. Skip the focusing cap and just accept the device for what it is, a 75 meter wide angle Illuminator for a reasonable price.
@TacOut6 күн бұрын
You might have the cap installed off-center. All you need to do is rotate it to get it centered. I can't speak to cost but unfortunately theres R&D costs, manufacturing costs, lens coating costs, etc. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.

Don't waste your money on digital NV (or do, it's your money) Get a good PVS-14 with a 10yr warranty. Steel Industries in Bradenton FL or T.REXArms both have excellent analog units and 10yr warranty. Digital will get you killed if you ever tried using it in a situation.

How do you like the optic riser? Would you recommend even if you don’t run nods?
@TacOut29 күн бұрын
I like it and would still recommend it just so you don’t have to “turtle head” to get a sight picture. You’ll also have a better heads up view of what’s going on in your peripheral. Depending on how you’re built, you may be able to use a shorter riser like a 1.93” instead of a 2.26. Just remember your zero will change and so will your holdovers.

On the fence about the 11.5 barrel length...velocity etc. What are the advantages besides compact for moving in close quarters??
@TacOutАй бұрын
For me personally, it's still plenty accurate and capable to distance around 600 yards with 77 grain ammo. Better ergonomics in terms of weight distribution when I have the Peq, light and suppressor on, compared to those items being far out on a longer rail. Think front heavy and support arm fatigue. If i am shooting further than that, I will be using a larger caliber, not 5.56. 99% of what i shoot is inside of 100 yards (daytime or under nvg) and on steel or paper targets, so this fits the bill for me. 1% for varmint hunting at night. I guess the answer is, your rifle should be setup to do well for what you intend to use it for.

You think there's any chance LS would come out with a diffuser cap for the illuminator? I see the flip cover has some kind of protuberance where the illuminator sits, is there any use for that?
@TacOut2 ай бұрын
I’m not sure if they will. But there’s definitely no use for the cover on there. It’s just a thin rubber that looks like it’s just a safety cover. I don’t see how they would make a diffuser since the laser and illuminator are all in the same side. But then again, I’m no engineer, so maybe it’s possible.

I have similar setup with optic risers. At this point I’m going to take off the iron sights. No space and it defeats the purpose of iron sights since I can’t see them through the optics
@FraldinhoBJJ2 ай бұрын
I guess the idea is guys run these if their main optic goes down and has a QD they can remove them and the weapon system doesn’t go down just because the optic does. I run holosun red dot and magnifier for that reason. The EOTECH have horrible battery life and I’m not risking my skin in a home defense or SHTF scenario where once a month the battery is toast .

I waited 2 days and no email was received. Call back this morning and I just passed the 4-hour mark on hold to speak to someone. They have horrible music that repeats over and over that I am sure is played so you get frustrated and hang up. This was not the case last year when I had the same scope warrantied for another manufacturer defect (scope blurred and would not focus). The DBAL A3 requires the illuminator mod imo. Basically you take the lens off (just the two torx screws) and remove the spacer inside. It lets you focus it down to a point. Being able to focus it down makes it far more usable. I own one and a RaidXe. The tightest focus on the unmodified dbal is larger than the largest focus on the raid. If you own a dbal a3, do yourself a favor and remove that spacer.

Pretty nice setup and well thought of! 1 advice I can give you, is not route your antenna behind the water bladder. The tip is not the important part for sending/receiving signal, but the whole antenna is a part of it. Water is a great radio signal blocker, so routing it behind the water bladder reduces your range. Take care an stay safe!
