I think 11.5 is the ultimate urban warfare setup, nice mix of maneuverability and range. This or a 12.5, both mid length gas

Completely agree!

Both great, for me it all would depend on what suppressor you're running at the time. 👍👍

@henrygonzalez360 right now primary arms has the solgw m4-76 11.5 upper w/out bcg and ch for $379. I picked one up taxes and shipping $417 delivered the next day. He'll of a deal. I couldn't pass it up.

with a trigger job, match bthp ammo, free float tube, GI bipod, scope, this sbr will snipe effectivey to 400m, which is more than can be said of a Garand, Mauser 98, or M1A with ball ammo and iron sights

How do you like the optic riser? Would you recommend even if you don’t run nods?
@TacOutАй бұрын
I like it and would still recommend it just so you don’t have to “turtle head” to get a sight picture. You’ll also have a better heads up view of what’s going on in your peripheral. Depending on how you’re built, you may be able to use a shorter riser like a 1.93” instead of a 2.26. Just remember your zero will change and so will your holdovers.

Nice set up man. I run a 11.5 solgw "pistol" . And a 13.7 and 16 solgw too. I dont have as near as much bells and whistles as you have sir but am def working on it. I do have an eotech exps3 with slate black industries on the 11.5. Everything else is a work on progress
@Spike-w5oАй бұрын
On the fence about the 11.5 barrel length...velocity etc. What are the advantages besides compact for moving in close quarters??
@TacOutАй бұрын
For me personally, it's still plenty accurate and capable to distance around 600 yards with 77 grain ammo. Better ergonomics in terms of weight distribution when I have the Peq, light and suppressor on, compared to those items being far out on a longer rail. Think front heavy and support arm fatigue. If i am shooting further than that, I will be using a larger caliber, not 5.56. 99% of what i shoot is inside of 100 yards (daytime or under nvg) and on steel or paper targets, so this fits the bill for me. 1% for varmint hunting at night. I guess the answer is, your rifle should be setup to do well for what you intend to use it for.

I have similar setup with optic risers. At this point I’m going to take off the iron sights. No space and it defeats the purpose of iron sights since I can’t see them through the optics
@FraldinhoBJJ2 ай бұрын
I guess the idea is guys run these if their main optic goes down and has a QD they can remove them and the weapon system doesn’t go down just because the optic does. I run holosun red dot and magnifier for that reason. The EOTECH have horrible battery life and I’m not risking my skin in a home defense or SHTF scenario where once a month the battery is toast .
@TacOut2 ай бұрын
Eotech should have a 4 or 8 hour auto-off depending on the button you use to turn it on. Should def last more than a month. But I understand the point you’re making.
@TacOut2 ай бұрын
Most of my optics are on QD so removing them and defaulting to irons is not unattainable. Def not ideal and absolutely not common to have to do that. Let’s hope I/we never have to do it.

Nice build, dude. Well thought out, for sure 👍

Thanks! It is a bit heavy with the suppressor, light and laser mounted out front but its manageable for sure.

Great set-up & rifle. I'm looking for the best zero for a red dot/Eotech-no mangnification optic on an 11.5" ar15 to shoot 0-200 yards - curious what zero you run?

I think I heard him say 36yd.

Nice setup. I’m running most of the same accessories. I have a slate black industries vertical grip. How do you like the Emissary hand stop?
@TacOut8 ай бұрын
I love it. Haven’t tried the slate black though. I’m going to look into it.
@henrygonzalez3607 ай бұрын
The Emissary is a bit bigger than the Slate hand stop, in my opinion the Emissary is better. Right between a stubby grip and a small finger stop.👍
@TacOut7 ай бұрын
@@henrygonzalez360 I they make a smaller one now too. I still like the original. Lets me get my last 3 fingers on and is great for barricades.

I don't think Criterion makes a 11.5 mid length gas system barrel. Carbine length, yes.

Honestly not sure. I know the suppressor is about 21 ounces and the Peq is about 8 ounces. Not sure about the light, but i'd guess about 6 ounces

I appreciate the matter of fact way of just getting to the point and not talking to hear yourself talk. I click off those person's. I also run an 11.5" sbr and it's effective inside about 300yds. Nice setup and important to have it compatible with NVG'S. I try to get everyone to at least get a PVS-14 but they're fast getting out of the price range of a lot of person's. Good video. Thx for posting!

Appreciate the feedback. I used to make longer videos but started seeing a trend in analytics where people dropped off. I started cutting those parts out and trimming the videos to about 5 mins which is more than enough to get the points across for most topics without losing people’s attention. I’m impressed you took notice and super grateful for your support!

you can just forget about the way that the US military does things, You wont have the money, man power ,choppers, safe base to run back to, etc. Missing a lot and calling for help wont work for shtf

@TacOut5 ай бұрын
Why is that funny? Inside 500 is short range to me. Being able to 3x is nice. What do you think short range is?
@StiffShot5 ай бұрын
@@TacOut I guess it's all a matter of personal preference. To me, 500 yards is not short range; I'm talking about close-quarters combat. But that's your preference, and I'm not criticizing. You do you.
@TacOut4 ай бұрын
Ah gotcha. All good. I shoot mid-long range too, which I consider 600-1000+. When I talk about CQB, I usually envision inside 100 yds. And short range, well, you know....out to 500.
