Lamprey is a great bait and tough. To be fair on the stretch I fish they have ignored Lamprey and gone for Mackerel. Good video mate I hope you get rid of that cold

@@luke_angling I love fishing with Lamprey but getting hold of it is not easy. The mackerel tail has got to be the bait I have used the most but it is easy to get hold of . But I have been using a lot of smelt just lately. I suppose if a bait is used a lot on a stretch of water the pike mite start to ignore it???. Let's hope they don't start ignoring my Lamprey it costs too much lol 😆 😆😆. Cheers 👍🎣🎣🎣

@grahamrobinson6455 it does cost a lot so I wrap it with elastic and one piece last ages. Never known something to hold so much blood ha ha. I have been having fish on sardines as well and they cheap but quite soft.

It's nice to get out and not blanking is a bonus this season (well done!). I had a run of 5 blanks which ended Monday with a double (10lb10oz) and today a jack (7lb13oz) and well pleased. Fishing is about making the most of the time you can go fishing. Nice video tight lines.

Nice to see your video Graham. I packed up at 5pm. No fish caught but kept seeing bait fish jumping in the margins. Felt good for a bite, but it didn't happen, but never mind. Sorry to see your move didn't produce a fish but there is always next time. Catch up with you again soon 👍

To be fair when I set off at 5am I didn't have a clue where I was going . All I knew was I was going to a river in Lincolnshire. And set up in the dark and to be honest I never recognised it from the piking videos I watch but then again I don't really take any notice of venues in fishing vids .I just enjoy the videos. Plus I had a very nice chat with the bailiff and he didn't say anything. If he would have said stop filming I would have. Sorry if this has upset you. And I do understand where you're coming. from

I had identical conditions on my local canal yesterday. Water was gin clear, no flow and nothing topping at all. Just kinda knew it would be hard going, but had 4 hours to kill etc. Been fishing long enough to know this is how it goes sometimes, but I did remember my water ha ha. I live in Sheffield and spent most of my youth fishing the fens with me grandad, watching your videos on the drains brings back good memories. love the fens! Look forward to you next video.

Just get yourself down to the Drains there are lots of drains to choose from. Just start fishing and the local bailiff will come round and you can buy a day ticket. (As long as you have a fishing licence)if you intend to fish the drains a lot it's best to buy the book works out cheaper. Where I tend to fish most is Whittlesey, Ramsey, and March waters.

And Away,I think all anglers have been watching Bob and Paul's angling show,at least you caught in the end mate, when we were Teenagers YEARS ago we could go picking on an old estate lake and it were full of Jacks and they used be striking at the roach like on your film all morning ,we could not catch em on anything but Lures, and you can't beat the liver bacon and onions eh mate these young guns won't eat it. Nice video Graham. I am forever picking up other anglers rubbish(discarded line empty deadbait packets etc) When I went fishing as kid I was taught bring home what you took with you, and like you it drives you mad, tight lines fro next time.
