Quick question, in Mame as well as my frontend ( launchbox ) I can get my trackball to work ( lightup ) correctly. But in teknoparrot I set it up in the control editor and I cant get it to lightup. Any thoughts on where i can look?

I'm honestly not sure. I didn't know that they were making that cabinet. One sec... (drinking at a bar right now)... tried to look it up, they don't give me the specs on the page, so I can't be sure 100%. But what I would say, is in reviewing the video, does the connector look the same? If so, you're probably save in using the same controller as I do in my video. OMG, I can't believe the 30th anniversary is within my lifetime... damn I'm old LOL :-)

Is there any to convert the input signal from the original board to a HDMI connection. I have The Simpsons version in my bar and I want to interrupt the signal with a splitter so I can push a button to change the screen from the game to whatever video signal is coming from the cable box. Do you think this is possible?
@MavericksArcade22 күн бұрын
That is a really interesting question! So you're looking to preserve the original functionality but to ADD functionality instead of simply replacing the original.... DAMN! love it! I think I actually found an answer. Do you mind if I use this post and the answer in my next video? Check out this video, it looks like a good answer :-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5y4g2ZjeMeJg5o Chuck

No bad for 4 drinks in :-)
@MavericksArcade22 күн бұрын
Sorry, again, been drinking, but I think this is along the lines to answer your question. I think you want to work on converting the signal. So, you would want multiple components here... First, you want to convert your LVD signal from the board to HDMI. That way, the output of the original game ends up in HDMI. THEN, add an HDMI selector switch to allow you to switch between original and the added PC's with emulation. Does that make sense?
@bittymongoose22 күн бұрын
@MavericksArcade Yes! I want to keep the original game, and it's board and simply interrupt the signal from the board to the moitor with a HDMI selector. So the video you sent was almost what I need to do, but instead of 2 outputs, I need 2 inputs. The reason. I want to do this is because the cab is in my bar and we have 3 TVs already, but I think it would be super cool to flip a switch and have the football game on the cab. And no i wouldn't mind at all if you used this for a video! This idea came from being a few deep lol

@9:10 how do you find out what the correct name of the file is?
@MavericksArcade5 ай бұрын
Helping from the bar between free poker games :-) Used Alexa to launch my arcade from the bar so I could log in and find out. For the most part, you can look into where your ROMs are stored and tell by the name of the file. For example, Ikari Warriors is Ikari for the first game and Ikari3 for the 3rd game. I tried to look up some databases, but they weren't visible from where I was browsing, blocked for malware/spyware. You can also usually see the file name while looking in your front-end software.

@@MavericksArcade Thanks for the help. I want to have an animation for TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. Problem is windows won't let me save a file with a colon in it so the file won't work. Know a work around?
@MavericksArcade4 ай бұрын
@@Pringlesman That doesn't sound right. Filenames aren't able to have colons. (hehe)... Do you know the short name of the file? If not, perhaps we could coordinate a time to find that for you. One sec... let me check online. This appears to be for a newer game, still the filename shouldn't be with a colon. Check in your files and see if the name is somewhere without the colon.
@Pringlesman4 ай бұрын
@@MavericksArcade I think it deleted my reply because it had a link in it. If I navigate to the file itself that launches from steam it's called TMNT. However if I use that name nothing happens. The name that pops up on the task manager is "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge". If I use that name in LEDBlinky Controls Editor it works and I can get a static control layout. The problem is I can't use that name for a custom animation for the obvious reason. I've tried naming the animation file with and without the apostrophe. I've tried using the steam ID number (1361510 in this case) but I've never gotten that to work before. Oh and by the way, thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I have something like 7 games on my steam lineup that I can't get animations to work for because of this issue.
