It would be much easier to extract the part if you accessed it from below. It only took me a few minutes and I also had access to visually double check the work.

You testing the new App? Love my 1/6th Jeep. I wanna swap the axles round at some point as the rear diff is mush
@MadMikeWorthingtonАй бұрын
Only issue I have with my Jeep is the esc goes into limp mode randomly, and yes mate 👍🏼
@darkcrawlerukАй бұрын
@ check your motor it might be a bit stiff which gets the esc to overload. Also your mesh. I had to adjust mine when I got it. I am looking forward to getting the app and start using it. Might have to beg to Peter Gray a bit more lol.

Hi Mike, enjoyed the review and have a Pure Advance Plus myself which I enjoy, although I will look at something with suspension next time. I would like to say and I promise I am not bashing you in any way, but please don't show vid of you with the little girl in front of you of you, it looks like you are in a safe area, but there are idiots who would watch that and think it's ok anywhere. That gives the police a cause for dangerous use leading to 6 points on your license and confiscation of your ride. But do enjoy your vids and thanks.
@MadMikeWorthingtonАй бұрын
Appreciate you pointing it out, I am on private land in the vid and never thought about the fact I’m giving my daughter a ride on it. Hopefully people are sensible enough to not do that on the road 🤷🏻♂️

Thanks for posting this video, a £20 fix worked a treat for our Freelander2 TD4. I removed the electrical connection to the gearbox too which helped move the wiring harness more and get a short socket extension in to remove the 3 13mm bolts. Our Landy only has 55K miles on it - I guess a lot of short journeys therefore lots of starts accelerated the wear on the smaller copper contact, which was paper thin when I removed it. This video explained everything perfectly - thanks again

Hi Mike. Great video. Do you know if the same starter solenoid repair kit does the TD4 Freelander & the TD5 Defender?
@MadMikeWorthington6 ай бұрын
Cheers, I’m afraid I don’t know, mine is a Td4 Freelander, I had a td5 discovery before and changed the starter motor on it but didn’t rebuild the starter motor in that instance.

Great video. On mine the wires where retained on the first bolt via a ten mm nut then behind the thread was a 17mm nut to be removed. Aside from that exactly the same.
