This ‘Officer’ annoys me tbh. The Police are not in any way respected these days and that is because the Police aren’t like they used to be and don’t earn our respect. They do not integrate nowadays, they just concentrate on the easy crimes and cash cow speed cameras.

My issue with these vans is that they always position themselves in order to catch you out. I’m sure 9 out of 10 of the people caught were not driving “dangerously” or deliberately “meaning” to speed. I do not condone speeding in any way but they clearly put themselves in places where they make the most revenue. It’s unnecessarily insidious. Stop Policing by hiding behind technology, get more police cars back out on the roads and have very visible ‘deterrents’. Help to prevent speeding instead of cashing in on it. It’s not like the fines even get recirculated back into filling potholes 🤷🏼♂️ It worked very well in the 80’s and having police cars also deterred dangerous driving, illegal cars, and other crimes that cannot be detected by crafty cash cow cameras!

The 20mph limit has nothing to do with that. In reality is just to cause more traffic jams and to annoy people. TRY DON'T WANT YOU TO HAVE YOUR OWN CAR AND DRIVE IT. THEY DON'T WANT US TO BE FREE.

Whilst I am totally aware that we are no longer in the EU, certain EU countries are making laws that allow broken down vehicles to use flashing amber beacons. This can be linked to a distress call with a location finder. There are no plans for this to be implemented in the UK.

What police actually want to say but can’t: we can’t be bothered to fight actual crime such as theft stabbings etc but that’s because it brings in no money, so instead we target motorists for going 5 over the limit on an empty road with no visible hazards😃😃😃

I have them on my van because I sometimes tow a trailer thats a tad wider then the van but still within the mirror if that makes sense. I drive on country roads where at times its tight for two cars to pass. The lights are fitted to the front grill as thats the best place to let uncoming traffic know I'm slow and slightly wide. Since fitting them cars actually slow down or pull in slightly for me to pass before that they just fly pass and just skim the trailer.

In other words no it’s not illegal at all but we are going to word it and make it sound like we are telling you it’s illegal when it’s not. Great waste of an informative video.

Hi, i have a quick question. i have a Ford Raptor grill, and just above the letters that say Ford, there are 3 little Amber lights. The lights do not Blink the will be fitted with the Sidelights. This means that when my sidelight comes on, the little Amber's lights come on together. Now I have asked 3 MOT CENTRES and Reading police station in Berkshire and as well fords themselves and all have told me that it is OK to have. now I do not wish to break the law, so this is my question to you. Many thanks. kind regards, Tony.A

So all they need to do is get this system installed and then they can figure it out, like every other system, it just takes time. ALSO buy a key jammer if you like, but that means they WILL come into your home for the keys. It’s up to you if you’re ready to fight them and then go to prison for defending yourself against someone with a machete. We all know the law protects the criminals and punishes the innocent who are trying to protect their family’s.

It's quite a vague law honesty. My private vehicle is used for work on a highway (or any other roadwork) and I indeed do have amber beacons fitted to it. Although it is possible to physically lock the beacon switch with a key, it's totally up to my own judgment when, how, and wy I turn them on. As long as it doesn't become misuse it's totally fine.
@tasmanmcmillan17772 күн бұрын
I’m in a small town in Western Australia, you’d be hard pressed to find a vehicle without amber beacons being as it’s a mining town surrounded by stations. He the law is “any vehicle may have amber, green or blue beacons and may only be used with legitimate reason”. Basically, blue beacons can only be used on explosive carrying vehicles, orange can be used on anything which is a potential road hazard and green for service vehicles.

Hi George, I have a question. I understand blue flashing lights are a no-go. However, what about light bars on lorries/vans. For example, yellow and blue leds (not flashing though)

Extract from highway code "Normal motor vehicles must comply with the standard lighting rules. These can be summarised as only showing white light to the front, only showing red light to the rear, with the exception of indicators and reversing lights" So blue DRLs would be a no no.

I love driving through 20mph zones. They feel so safe! And they never seem to last long when youre travelling through a village, for example. In cities, the traffic is such that 20mph is the speed most people do anyway. They add very little to journey time, but make life for cyclists and pedestrians so much safer. I'd like to see them across all of the UK more and stringently enforced.
