Its weird i hated the look of the original 82 sierra when they 1st came out but the later ones from 91-93 looked so much better than the Mondeo that replaced it

Only Yorkshire Television could give us so much anticipation and excitement. This version and the original start up theme could give that sense of pride and emotion. Why can’t we have start ups like these again?.

Goes to show how complacent they were about its popularity...6 years before a refresh (MKII was a full reskin, MKIII a new platform) - they call it a MKIV when it's an update and they explicitly show how minimal it really was.

Around 4:17 the theme seems to take on a slightly sinister tone. It’s like the Chevron is getting ready to come out and get you.

Crikey. If you went into a showroom with £9600 in 1992 and asked what you could get, they'd show you a whole Sierra. Go into the same showroom in 2023 with £9600, and they'll show you the door. How times, and prices have changed.

One of my all time favourites and in a sort of epiphany moment, and without wanting to sound too pretentious, I think the composer wanted to encompass all of the things you might see on YTV - there's drama, playful comedy, romance, current affairs style moments in this composition. Until 3:55 - not sure YTV ever broadcast anything with this type of XXX funky soundtrack ;-)

The Mk4 Ford Escort was an improvement over the Mk3 with better comfort, improved interior quality, a more pleasant ride, an even better heating and ventilation system with improved stratification offering an improved 'warm feet, cool face' environment at mid heat settings, plus the same good economical diesel and petrol engines.
