Candace Owens ought to be introduced to and Dr. Angela Puca, preferably interviewing you both. She's been obsessing over Jack Parsons' link to NASA of late, ardently asserting that Crowley was an "evil Satanist" (she might have read the Encyclopaedia Brittanica...or worse, Wikipedia), and thus concluding that NASA has "satanic origins". Her stance highlights an enduring problem, wherein many still fail to comprehend that Crowley regularly and purposefully employed controversial symbolism and terminology (much of which still permeates and enshrouds Thelema today), as well as his perverse sense of humour, to intentionally obscure inner sanctum/initiated knowledge, in a way that relates to the ideal of "not casting pearls before swine". Underneath all his obfuscation and braggadocio, Crowley was actually a serious, dedicated 'student' and exponent of esotericism, albeit it one requiring considerable focus, concentration and determination to understand. As well as a high degree of vigilance. Your channel is doing excellent work by the way. Thanks.

We are actually living in the mid act of crowleyanity as we speak in 2024 people are doing what they wilt as Crowley put it… he is also their prophet… pretty freaking crazy man this dude hit the nail on the head in the early 1900’s and his prediction came true… 🤦🏽♂️ except people are hurting others don’t think Crowley expected that… his religion is ruining America… people follow his teachings daily and don’t even realize it but don’t be mistaken there are others who know exactly what’s going on… end times folks… Jesus is the only way to win…
@EgyptianMagick3 ай бұрын
I'd be surprised if his religion or philosophy was really hurting America, or even that well known there, but explain a little more if you will.
@CGoldmill-dz4gk3 ай бұрын
@@EgyptianMagick I’d guess you’d really have to see it thru my eyes to be able to understand what I’ve seen and why I see it that way… I mean it really began in the sixties with tune in turn on aand drop out… Timothy Leary was a huge influence in the late fifties early sixties with the free love movement and he was all about Crowley… studied him studied thelema and everything Crowley was into, that was Leary… he was responsible for even introducing Americans to that way of thinking about doing what you wanted without fearing the consequences… so Leary taught a whole generation about do what thou wilt under love and about Crowley and the cycle kind of continued… the Beatles were another big driving force for lovers of Crowley here in America… I can go on talking about this subject for days but typing is kind of hard… that’s just the beginning of it I believe…

@@CGoldmill-dz4gk It's an interesting point of view, the sixties generation were proved right in the end, and run the show now ... not sure if Crowley philosophy, is responsibly, but was it such a bad thing. What Crowley actually wrote about Thelema being a religion can be found in Chapter XXXI of Magick Without Tears: "…A religion then, is a more or less coherent and consistent set of beliefs, with precepts and prohibitions therefrom deducible. …To sum up, our system is a religion just so far as a religion means an enthusiastic putting-together of a series of doctrines, no one of which must in any way clash with Science or Magick. Call it a new religion, then, if it so please your Gracious Majesty; but I confess that I fail to see what you will have gained by so doing, and I feel bound to add that you might easily cause a great deal of misunderstanding, and work a rather stupid kind of mischief." Essentially he himself seems to reject the proposition as being in any way useful beyond a simplistic descriptor for those who can't think beyond the need for such categorisations.
@EgyptianMagick4 ай бұрын
Interesting citation ... thank you. Many academics would agree that the categorisation is mainly of use to those, like them, who study religion. Many cultures, such as the Egyptian, got by without such a concept, for a great deal of their history
